Smart move to keep your face private. We are too easily revealing ourselves without any idea who is harvesting information, selling it to whom, and for what purpose.

4. You don’t lose all your knowledge when the electricity or Wi-Fi goes out. It’s nice to have general knowledge books around the house in case of the apocalypse. 5. They make great decorations. I love the look of a room full of books 6. They smell great!

3. They’re a break from a screen. We all spend way too much time in front of screens. Reading should be a refreshing and mentally stimulating.

2. You can pass them on to your children. Give your child an heirloom that attests to the importance of the pursuit of wisdom. They’ll remember you and thank you for it.

1. They can’t be changed. Whoever controls the internet controls mankind’s knowledge and history. With physical books, you don’t have to worry about censorship or malicious editing of humanity’s acquired wisdom.

Sadly, this applies to every leader on the world stage. I know some will ascribe it only to someone they don't like, but it is an accurate description of political leaders in general.

Indeed, it is clear that the Canadian economy must diversify to reduce its dependence on the USA. This is a big change and will take longer than most would like. The most important step is freeing up our natural resources. Carney has ideological barriers to this. So, we'll see.
