I guess it depends what’s it’s in it specifically visual wise, maybe an underworld aesthetic

its because it's been in ruined and abadoned, the wrinkly save cave is right there in the previous pic, also matches the previous think with the connection of Kemet of the land being filled will black and red with the red trees.

The Northern Kremisphere looks all black stonish around it is because it dates back to Egyptian inspo in Bananza, as Ancient Egypt was known as the "Black Land" also known as Kemet. Deshert was also known as the Red Land alongside the nile river, notice the bunch of red trees?

Also lets look at the area of Ignot Isle crash site itself, after it sinks, you can see what is the First Wrinkly's Save Cave area, which right behind that area in original, is where Mekanos resides in that big puddle of water area, and Krematoa is next to Mekanos as well.

Also when Ignot Isle sinks ontop of it there appears to be a four key stone shape slots within on it, to open Krematoa in DKC3 you have to spin across FOUR stones to acess it, Kremtoa is also on the Kremisphere Maps when it never appear in official renders of the Kremisphere.

How this relates to Krematoa, well in the game there already is gameplay elements of geysers/volcanos appearing to signal the player they can find gold or apples to heal, even the treehouse name drops them as geysers, so there is volcano motif within the game already.

Also VOIDCO attacks Ignot Isle in the intro cutscene, and can you guess what also resided in Mekanos in DKC3.

Mekanos in DKC3 originally was built around machinery, and there are potential traces of some of that still in ignot isle, the windows on ignot isle match the top lids on Mekanos, and other machinery.

Also when DK gets sinked down with Ignot Isle, we known there is now a Baboom Town of somesort, One of the famous landmarks in Mykonos, is literally dubbed Mykonos Town, so could it be another pun like say New Donk City for New York City?
comment in response to post
Mykonos buildings also look like this and compare them to how the buildings on Ignot Isle look.

"The Island of the Winds" tourist appeal such as hotels, clubs, and goldsmiths boutiques" "vibrant nightlife" "mining site"
comment in response to post
Mekanos in DKC3 name is taken from the real life Greece Island Mykonos, a popular site, known for its active nightlife, tourist appeal such as hotels, clubs, and goldsmiths boutiques, and its known as "The Island of the winds" and its mining site!

Sobek was also a manifestation of Amun-Ra which was the god of the air/wind and Sun, and how does DK get attack on Ignot Isle the wind blowing him towards the sun?

Also to add! how does Dixie Kong in DKC3 get to Northern Kremisphere!

I remember 20 years ago, my mom was at a nail salon and in the back they were playing the movie on a bootleg dvd of a theater recording of the film before it came out on dvd.
