Coming from a family of teachers myself… I 100% agree with you. Love the longer lunch and more recess idea too. 😁

As a Native Texan, I find the article disturbing. Religion should stay out of the school system. I only hope that if it passes, it will be challenged.

The law is still in the books (from before marriage equality was law of the land), but unenforceable at the moment. However, should something change (like we saw with Roe), removing it ensures marriage equality is protected at the state level. Most blue states are doing this to protect LGBTQ +.

Love this! Everyone should realize just how amazing, resilient and powerful women truly are.

I’ve seen that screenshot several times. It’s frustrating to see messages like that—deflecting responsibility, blaming the media or others, and refusing to face the truth. Accountability starts with self-awareness, and it’s hard to watch when someone avoids it entirely.

The good thing (silver lining) about it is that we don’t have to let that bring us down with it. Maybe I just like seeing the best in people, even if an ounce exists, it’s still hope in my eyes that they can one day have empathy. Only time will tell, I suppose.

I stopped trying to figure out the thought behind it… it made my head hurt.

This is utterly disgraceful and I feel is one reason so many people leave the religion. To me, religion should be about good and love, not about hate and repression.

Check out Red, White and Royal Blue on Netflix. It’s a feel good 🏳️🌈 movie we like.

Native Texan here too! I’m hopeful that one day we’ll have someone like Ann Richards back in office to calm all of Abbott’s chaos. Stranger things have happened….optimistic.

When people like this strongly resist certain ideas, it often reflects deeper fears or insecurities within themselves. I mean, remember Grinder crashing during the Milwaukee RNC in July 2024? Coincidence?

This guy finds Fuentes really disgusting. Women are intelligent, strong power houses! I really don’t get why weak guys like him need this rhetoric to be relevant.

Thankfully, CA, CO & HI have taken steps to enshrine same sex marriage into the state constitutions. This with the Respect of Marriage Act will help curb the impact even if SCOTUS revisits the old cases. It will be hard to repeal RMA since Dems still have the numbers to filibuster.

🙄. Only two more years till midterm elections and hopefully Democrats take back the house and senate.

If democrat leaders learn from the mistakes and put out better messaging, we can make a change. I for one, can’t wait till the midterm elections.

Haha. So true. I just started getting mail from AARP and was called “sir” yesterday. I mean I love the respect by calling me sir, but dang it also means I’m old. LOL.
