Really curious what Woolie was reminding you about in Beast Wars now...

Bonus points if viewers can clearly see where the sleeves of your Halloween costume monster gloves end.

Sort of, yeah - these segments were done with a process called Solarisation which kind of partially develops the film footage. It looks really bad and inconsistent in the movie as a whole because they were winging it and running out of budget. Dan Olson did a great video explaining it than I can.

I remember the one time I tried playing it, I somehow broke the ingame music selector so it played nothing but the same two minute grindcore song, 3-4 times a race, for a whole 3 race cup. Gameplay was still somehow just as bad.

It's a pity Liz Truss has been mentioned on QAA a few times now, because she would have been a prime "Annie Episode" candidate. Unless there's still enough material for a deep dive on her someday?

Legit misread this as "in my inflatable genius", which would have also been good for the bit.

I had to stop using YT on my phone for a week recently after they tested a new """feature""" on me where on starting the app it played a random short at top volume and removed the setting to turn it off. They seem completely divorced from what makers AND viewers want these days.

Has someone been trying to punch their way into his grave through the concrete there? Or... is he punching his way out?

I love her eyes - they're closed but still manage to be so expressive!

T-O-SPACE-W-H-O-M-SPACE-I-T-*BANG* ...fuck, it took me half an hour to get the last keyboard plugged in using this thing, I'll never get this job application typed up at this rate!

Interesting, kind of a bio-cyborg kinda look, not what I expected! Will there be some "pure" robot bits on the sprue as well or is it all borg-like stuff?

It's a contradiction in terms - if it's by an AI, not a human, then it can't be Professional because a bot can't *have* a profession.

Studio Execs look at a picture of Katherine Heigl and a picture of Jim Caviezel and go "it's the same picture".

You could maybe do it with static grass; the issue would be making sure it was short enough (two mm is about as short as it gets I think). Actual fake fur might not be available that short though.

Notes from a really weird performance review.

It kinda doesn't help the "there's no point entering now, the standards are too high" argument though, lol. The people who are winning now have been winners for twenty years and have also been improving and making use of new techniques as much as everyone else. Kinda disheartening, huh?

I've played the PS2 lightgun port and it... wasn't great, but it did seem like it being in a proper cabinet setup would have added at least some of what was missing from the experience.

I dunno, that Death Note bit on Treehouse of Horror managed to be alright?

I didn't even know you could do that until the woman on the checkout when I bought one at B&M asked if I knew how to do it!

Zhao Yun's face looks like he's asking the baby "...that bad smell's coming from you, isn't it?" Even the resting faces are so expressive!

The Execution of God both lines up with what I look for in a good Sci Fi book AND my overwhelming desire to witness the destruction of God.

It's like how a subset of Historicals players who, in the absence of the British Empire, get weirdly jingoistic about Ancient Rome. I think it's just the allure of fascist style power aesthetics. See also the people who unironically stan The Empire from Star Wars.

The description of the pot pie boy is still the most disturbing thing in any of your posts I've read so far.

One could make a video at least as long as the squig dice one about how busted the math is on the levelling system - some classes take thousands of years to hit level cap, or require killing millions per level by about lv15.
I don't recommend you do so!

IIRC they wrote Waltz specifically because they were concerned at how much fans were starting to like Ducat. I think it really stuck the landing in showing how all his "benevolence" and his weird paternal manner that people found charming were just products of his racism.

I remember being completely baffled by that book as a child. Really sad that the person who found it just skipped the book and used a metal detector before anyone had a chance to find it legitimately IIRC
