The struggle is real. My household is desperately trying to get out of an apartment, even if it's just into a trailer that we own on rented land, so that we can have the luxury of a garden. Unfortunately, we lack the space to do such things indoors.

This is true, as a wt person who tried to work harvest and was too weak to handle it. It taught me to RESPECT those who perform that kind of labor every day.

I’ve got an idea. Let’s have Medgar Ever streets and statues in every state

I absolutely agree with you on every point. The protest today in my small town went unbothered, save for a few hecklers who drove by. It wasn't lost on me that everyone protesting was white. I doubt it would have been as well received if we'd been joined by POC.

Also worthy of note: we chose to gather at City Hall. All our flags were unaltered American flags. They showed up with those abominations, and gathered in front of the liquor store.

No part of their oath says they must obey the President. They're only bound the the Constitution, as is the President. As the President is breaking his oath, they need to uphold theirs.

I suppose it would be bad form to say "No Kings" when they crowned Charles so recently. Hahaha

Despite the fact that i fully expected things to get worse, that still sucker-punched my soul so deeply that I can't even begin to process it.

Just looked it up. He's deploying them preemptively? These "strong-men" are so afraid that they're deploying troops over protests that haven't even happened yet?

Even if your town is small, show up locally. The point is to show up everywhere in the country. It will be harder to ignore than a lot of us at fewer places.

The fact that they don't even realize that the NG isn't a self-funded entity is mind-boggling.

We understand that, but I've been talking to NG and am alarmed at how many argue that the federal government isn't even responsible for supplying them when they're federalized. They assume the funding comes solely from the NG, itself, regardless of how they're deployed.

PFP checks out.

I'm glad the courts recognized the violation, but I'm still not hopeful that this administration will have any respect for it. If they did, we wouldn't be protesting in the first place.

While air travel is still safe than vehicular travel, I worry that we'll be seeing a significant decline in that safety.

As trained officers, you know better than civilians what the ramifications are of that happening. We're not trying to bash you. We're begging you. Our lives are in your hands. Please stand with us to defend freedom.

Today I heard that they're sending you in with live rounds. That comes with a tremendous amount of responsibility. Amidst the chaos that's erupting, it would take very little to become the catalyst that launches our nation into civil war.

To simplify it: The voters are the reason the USA is actively collapsing. Not that it might. It is. My point is that voting for someone who would destroy the country doesn't solve the problem in Gaza.

With the sheer volume of people who support Gaza here, it seems hypocritical to wish for the collapse of the USA because our elected officials failed on that issue. And if we collapse, what other superpower will you turn to for help in Gaza? China? Russia?
