Loss of white privilege should not be a criteria for fast-tracked asylum.

It's almost as if granting a criminal blanket immunity was a bad idea.

I am glad to see an apparent thief criminally charged, but it’s more than a little ironic that the person entrusted to protect our homeland security can’t even safeguard her own purse.

Our neighbor to the North is lead by a brilliant economist, who is tough, but fair and decent. Our neighbor to the South is lead by a brilliant engineer, who is tough, but fair and decent. We are run by a total ignoramus who is flawed in every way a human being can be & is destroying our country.

Thanks for saying it Mark. And to my Canadian brothers and sisters I'm sorry too, eh

Very excited that my latest #shortstory, "You Never Really Know Someone," will be published next week by The Bookends Review. Will send a link when it is out. It's a fun little story conceived in an airport while people-watching. #writingcommunity #writing #amwriting

I cannot overstate the importance of reading books, particularly novels by respected authors, for critical thinking skills and reading comprehension. If the big gun novelists don't interest you, start small and work your way up. Or read whatever interests you. Just read. Or listen. It's all books.

We wouldn’t be here if SCOTUS had allowed the January 6th trial to go forward as scheduled.

Liked Role Model's "Sally When the Wine Runs Out" heard on @altnation.bsky.social . Had a throwback Fleetwood Mac feel to me in the harmony. Oddly, I never liked Fleetwood Mac all that much but really enjoyed this song! @altmadison.bsky.social

To the world: We are fighting back. Our movement has been silenced by the media here—but we are not backing down. This is what our streets looked like across multiple cities. Tomorrow, there will be more of us! Raise a glass to freedom. —With love, Your American allies.

Bold predictions: 1. Consumer spending is goosed temporarily by panic-buying and preventative stocking up. The orange baboon says "it's working already" 2. Fox News & the GOP say we told you so 3. The bubble bursts & we start talking about renaming Lake Ontario and New Mexico

Change starts with one.

The result in WI delights me. But let’s not get it twisted, the lesson the GOP learned last night was not stop fucking with the rule of law, it was stop having elections. The MAGA movement and project 2025 are the highest, best and last effort of a group of terrified white men who cannot

Feelings of powerlessness, defeatism, the inevitability of the fascist merging of government and the wealthiest of the private sector we felt in recent months are being replaced with action. There are things we can do to #resist, and they are working. Let's keep it up.

Too bad Uvalde Elementary didn’t sell Teslas.

What's good for the goose...

On Friday we could've seen President Harris & VP Walz in adult dialogue with an heroic ally about how we will stand together with him & Europe against a common threat. And we would not be a global laughingstock or new pariah. Thanks price of egg voters, protest non-voters, podcast voters, etc.

Striking thing about Trump and Vance with Zelensky is how weak they look. On top of the awfulness of rewarding aggression, screwing allies, undermining US interests, and blatantly lying about recent events, these men that obsess over the performance of toughness look like whiny scared weaklings.

Senators Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Joni Ernst, etc: You’ve seen Hegseth, RFK Jr, and others give worthless assurances. You’re now seeing the US appease Putin, and DOJ guardrails crumble. Are you going to let Kash Patel use the FBI against his enemies list and further destroy the rule of law?

Look closely.
