Where is his left sideburn? I must know where it went.

He’s nothing more than an amplifier of all of the worst of what we are as a society. He’s a vehicle for the B-team to have a seat at the table. Their performance is exactly why we don’t let the B-team start. If this was a movie it would be criticized as over the top.

I wouldn’t doubt he tried to use all of these firms to try to stay in office.

They should change the name from the Republican Party to the Guilty Party. It’s much more accurate.

If they were democrats the GOP would be holding hearings on how much the trip cost. The democrats? Crickets.

This is disgusting. They should be ashamed of themselves and I hope the practice goes under as a result of this. Traitors.

People are finding their American again.

Exactly. Politics has always been about compromise. No one ever gets everything. It’s about the big things at the big moments. And right now there are plenty of big things. Good for you. We need more people thinking along the same lines.

I will not be surprised when we get to the next election cycle and there remains the “but I don’t really like how they voted on issue A, so I’m not sure.” The house is on fire and democrats complain about the quinoa burning. Every time. Never fails.

It would be just as bad, but I think a little less insulting, if they weren’t just so incredibly stupid.

I understand your point Joyce and I don’t mean this to be sarcastic, truly, but I don’t believe any of us are safe now. As a college professor I fear for my colleagues at high profile universities already, and we’re not six months in.

I find it incredibly sad that no one of any impact has taken him up on his challenge, while legions of ordinary citizens who have no impact are ready to do just that.

Can’t qwhite figure that one out… Maybe it’s the racist traitor part about our administration but hey, what do I know.

I’m honestly not confident we’re up to it. We’ve become such a complacent society I don’t know that we’re up to the fight in enough numbers. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m not sure that I am.

I agree 100%. I don’t believe Gillibrand is much better either. She’s seems so much more out of touch. She’s never really struck me as up to it. Her social media is utterly out of touch. That may seem unfair, but when we’re being taken over like we are, to not be addressing it is almost criminal.

They may represent NY, but they sure as hell don’t represent us anymore. This is embarrassing. I’m sure they’re thinking because they have so much time before they’re up for re-election they’ll be fine. Wrong.

As a lifelong New Yorker, the only thing keeping me from leaving the Democratic Party is voting against both of my senators in primaries. I look forward to either joining a new party or being part of a New Democratic Party.

The leaders of the new party are making themselves known.

I know it’s early, but I’d be really happy if this was test balloon for a possible run. I think everything about him is an antidote for what we have right now; folksy, smart, relatable, experienced in governing, and still able to communicate in a very straightforward, digestible way. He’s real.
