The buttercups this spring in Charleson Park are outta control. Shiba height.

The new AI surveillance camera enforcing the unpaid labour we make customers do so we can pay fewer staff is just like the thing in that sport you poors like.

Hilarious that we're now in a Canada where 1) there's a marginal separatist movement in Alberta and 2) Edmonton could win the first Stanley Cup in 32 years for Canada.

State and Federal officials rushing to enforce the orders of the President of the United States of America that a teenager must be prevented from competing in long jump at a high school track meet.

Incidentally, I've seriously considered applying to Nav Canada to be a controller, but you have to be flexible to move anywhere in the country, and are unlikely to qualify for an airport like YVR or Area Control Center like Surrey for several years. www.navcanada.ca/en/careers/a...

The Nav Canada ATC shortages around YVR have been worsening each summer since the pandemic travel rebound. Many days we call up for a slot for our NASP patrol flight to return and ATC has one 12-minute window they can take us all day, if anything at all. Hugely restrictive.

This @ctvnewsvancouver.bsky.social endorsement of genocide is sickening. The word "Gaza" is somehow hateful - and the city should immediately scrub it out from view of Zionist protesters? www.ctvnews.ca/vancouver/ar...

Ruining the rhetorical question "is the Pope Catholic?" once and for all.

Waiting for polls from Carleton like

David Cochrane getting frustrated with the touch screen map and letting his Newfoundland accent slip out kinda fun. As is sitting Chantal Hebert and Jason fucking Kenney at the same desk.

Who do I complain to at the CBC for using a Mercator Projection in their election map @jmcelroy.bsky.social ?

The instant suan la fen cups that have powder, goop, goop 2, chili oil, vinegar, dehydrated veggies, and peanuts are transformative.

we need a buxom pope now more than ever

Air Canada using OneWeb instead of Starlink is going to be one of the best technology decisions they've made

The typical Canadian has a higher standard of living than the typical American. We are healthier, live 3 years longer, face much less inequality and are happier. These outcomes are not accidents. They reflect deliberate policy choices.” @jimbostanford.bsky.social on Canada’s GDP per capita:

An hour and a half to vote in the advance poll today at Holy Trinity Church in #vangran. Elections Canada seemed unprepared for the turnout, and the process is still entirely manual.

We do not need to balance the federal budget. We need to get more value for what we pay, and we need to spend more on health, housing and transit to reap the rewards of a more efficient economy. Austerity right now will bury us.

E. coli right now

Texada Island limestone quarry with a deceptively tropical looking tailings pond #naspcrew

Looking back, the proliferation of 'I made creamy risotto using Podesta's method and I'm never going back' stories on cooking/food sites was a clue we are in the bad place.

Really glad these guys are finally getting an opportunity to confront politicians in a professional environment rather than when they’re walking home alone at night

I've been asked to apologize and make a correction: The leader of His Majesty's Loyal Opposition in fact listens to John Philip Sousa marches on a Toshiba Gigabeat.

Of course he's not gonna do Nardwaur; we'd find out all he listens to are Sousa marches on a 2007 iPod Shuffle while envisioning his state visit as PM to Mar-a-Lago

Feeding your likeness into the gaping maw of AI aside, how do these people think these are flattering? 'haha I'm just a plastic stereotype of a boring profession, I don't go anywhere without my desk calendar and giant sippy cup' Every single one is an embarrassing self-own

I get that a lot of people will only see the threat when it happens to a white tourist, but she actually broke the law by working while on a tourist visa. Snatching and deporting valid visa-holding workers and students who have not broken a law is far beyond this.

Egg on my face. At least I hope it's egg...

james surowiecki has discovered where the completely fabricated trump tariff rate has come from for each country "...for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us."
