* they just walked off seemingly dis-interested with zero aggression.
That's just like me at a party!

People screaming at each other in inner city traffic? Normal.
Racecar drivers getting a tiny bit heated while racing at the edge of physics and reflexes? How rude!

Ok hear me out: formula multi class!
F1 2 3 and 4 all at the same time. Hell, let's have a Porsche cup there, too. And make it 4 to 6h long.

American cars are wild. The Bolt is 15cm (~1 /600 football field) longer than my car, and mine is a mid-sized SUV here in the EU.

On the plus side, there is a good chance I don't need to worry about car payments anymore.
Unless the post apocalypse will be Mad Max style, of course.

There is also lying by omission - no need to open the mouth for that one!

"- I don't leak, spew, smell, or make any noise."
Well, I do. But my EV doesn't!

In my city are one or two H2 stations. Which is fair, since I've never seen more than 2 Toyota Mirai in my city. One blue and one black. Fueling them seems to be way more effort than just plugging in my EV and go for a coffee, even if they get a bit more range than I do.

The ONE thing I still give credit to Tesla for, is that they made EVs "mainstream cool" back in the Model S days. EV went from a sad joke on the Simpsons to a car for the famous.
In 2025, they are old tech, old design and overpriced. Even without Elon I wouldn't buy one. And I drive Stellantis EV

I don't care if it takes time. I'm doing something else. It's like my phone. I don't know and don't care how long it recharges at night. I'm not watching it.

It's not that different over here. "I need to drive 700km nonstop" is something you hear often.
But I get it. After 100 years of filling the gas tank and standing next to it, we think that this is the only way.
9/10 times I charge while I'm at work, hiking, shopping 1/2

Main issue with byd is that the seller network is a bit spotty. But my next car might be a byd.
But even my cheapish Opel Mokka, with max 100kw charging and 300km range is perfectly fine for traveling Europe. It's a small spot after all.

I'm lucky with my region.
Around my work, there are 40+ street chargers in walking distance, the large charging park at the Autobahn has a bakery and a pool area in the summer, my local bakery uses its solar energy for cheap charging when the aren't baking. But it's not everywhere in GER this good.

People making this so complicated is sometimes really frustrating.
Though, public charging is so good here, it's not really an issue.

I'm a renter with an ev.
What I would need: a schuko plug (basic German power plug) with metering for billing.
What they require: a 10k€ multi car charging infrastructure.
Since it's a 100 spaces garage they don't want custom solutions per user.. and I am 50%of EVs and they won't build this for me
