One of the things I really love about classic is the feeling that my gear at endgame is incremental and certain items remain relevant for multiple tiers.
Not really raid-feedback, but I'd like to argue in favor of that, rather than "everything I wear is from SE", as seems to be the case here.

It helps to just play a dumb character.
If you're not trying to convincingly roleplay someone with a doctorate in carbuncle studies, you don't need to know everything about carbuncles. Even if you do, making shit up on the spot in the point!
