Great perspective! I often think of the numerous soldiers that slugged it out in the mountains of Italy - long, slow, arduous, ugly campaign.
To me, “Saving Private Ryan” was the first Hollywood production that began showing not all war casualties simply fall to the ground in one piece.

Dems/non-MAGA should see this as an opportunity but be careful not to overplay the events. Good time for clear communications leveraging the new revelations, clarification of illogical & contradictory MAGA positions; NOT the time to believe ‘Musk is changing sides’.
Be bold & vocal, but be cautious.

Would be interesting if Trump moves to nationalize all of Musk’s businesses. Trump winds up with all of Musk’s assets.
Musk then moves to kill the BBB and impeach Trump.
Thiel and Vance then land in the WH and controlling all including all our data sent to Thiel from DOGE. Thiel controls Vance.

And too many myopic MAGA Christian alt right enablers are looking for a god as well - in search of power of a similar type that raises their stature in the country’s/world’s eyes. They are happy to crown Trump as an emissary to achieve their goals, including social conformity.
Zealots are dangerous!

Scary, sick and a sure sign of his progressing dementia.
A true holy emissary would be far more Christ-like: Forgiving, understanding, instrument of peace. Not a hater, abuser, self-absorbed grifter.
He’s so consumed with being a god versus a healer.

So what’s the definition of a “fixed election”? Hummm….

His supposed basis for the action was the recent Colorado incident. But the country he was from was not even on the list. So really?
He listed numerous African countries, yet South Africa was not on the list. Imagine that.

A huge Dem problem is aging leadership & related public perception. Seniority only-based advancement exacerbates this problem! Capability & talent should drive.
“Party Elders” can still serve in key advisory / coaching roles in background.
I’ve reported to younger well qualified leaders-it works!

Very dark! So glad Trump & alt Christian right MAGA is in charge now. As with all Day One promises, his mere presence in office has now saved our solar system & galaxy.
Obviously Biden wasn’t able to prevent this. Like so many other things, only Trump can… & this wasn’t even on his “Me God” list!

And how much will printing & redistributing, rehanging etc. at all federal buildings cost? I thought MAGA wanted to cut all waste…

“Hurting Republicans” - what great logic for protecting democracy/ensuring election fairness!
Truly is the definition of voter suppression!
Those that don’t want to play by the rules cheat…
God forbid that instead Republicans listen to all constituents and change / work for their needs & concerns.

“Being Transparent” doesn’t make something legal no more than robbing a bank in broad daylight prevents it from being a crime. Trump being out there with his grift only puts the illegalities in plane sight. Influence peddling is influence peddling, conflicts of interest are conflicts of interest!

Agree. But I believe MAGA wants to kill social security. Their $1000 brokerage deposit per baby is designed to provide for retirement benefits on the front end. Part of their plan to let the market manage LT. no more soc sec at retirement age. Draw what they gave birth. cuts out non US born from SS.

Love the accuracy Trump / ICE are using when pursing US citizens, residents, etc. and threatening all of us & our long standing way of life.

So, again, we have MAGA reps that only vote how they are told to vote; don’t bother reading the subject matter… Depth, understanding details, active involvement - isn’t that what’s expected of the reps we send to congress?!
Why is she still there?!

Yes. And not punishing the poor to cut taxes for the rich. Rather should be increasing federal financial funding (taxes) from the wealthy.

Just like the Spanish Civil War was a proving ground for the weapons & tactics for WWII. And changed again with Vietnam.
Learn & adapt, or lose.

His list of contributing factors reminds me of an activist slogan popular in the 1960’s. A message to the population’s majority: “Get off your apathy!”

I’ve been looking for more psychological / sociological analyses to what’s been going on. This is a great perspective and goes beyond just understanding history. Provides much more depth to the underlying issues!

Yes! Also need USCON amendment to control pres pardons similar to some states over Governor. e.g. 1) majority SCOTUS can block or 2) 2/3 Senate majority can block. Perhaps won’t stop MAGA now but need some LT fix over blatant pardon abuse/selling pardons. Requires non-abdicating congress!

Certainly bad news for Poland and Eastern Europe.

Totally agree.
And does anyone else think this is laying the foundation for ending social security? “Gov’t pays now, let the market manage citizens’ future benefit;” dust off hands and walk away!
BTW, this does nothing for young families that need help now providing for new babies/raising children.

And people are still questioning if he’s suffering from dementia? More appropriately the question is how far along is he?
People w/ dementia do have lucid moments, which fools advocates & are used by manipulators, enablers & sycophants to defend.
When will MAGA have backbone to end this horror?!

As an avid student of history- from a strategy, tactics & valor perspective I’ve a contextual understanding & appreciation for both sides of the civil war & respect sites/artifacts. When highjacked & used today as hate symbols & to project fear I deplore their misuse, public perversion & those resp.

Humm. Going after the vulnerable and those supposedly protected by long-standing rules, agreed upon protections & traditions. Seems to be the same playbook Trump follows. Why is he surprised at Putin’s continued actions in Ukraine? Maybe he’ll now appoint some of those Russian’s to his Admin?

And the MAGA congress continues to sit back, watch and do nothing - criminal conspirators & enablers.

Seems so many MAGA supports view politics & policy/principle debates analogous to an MMA match. Back the violent aggressor; see it as strength match of some sort. No understanding of USCON & laws - when election is over, can’t understand why their person doesn’t rule all. How do we change this?

Donald knows Canada is considering his Golden Dome offer because all the voices in his head told him so. And his cabinet all just kept nodding their heads as they do daily in their homage ritual.

More important for Trump to feel praised versus allowing us the pay respects to those who went to Vietnam on behalf of the US; many of whom never came home; many that did come back, came back less than whole. I guess they all fall under Trump’s umbrella of suckers and losers.

Wake-up RFK. When politicians are elected it does not result in an automatic Constitutional amendment regardless of what the candidate promised or what the people think they voted for. It IS up to the separate judicial branch (judges) to interpret the USCON & the country’s laws and articulate limits
