Trust me when I say that we emphasize.I visited the US regularly in the last 12 years. And I also noticed changes. This shouldn't be a contest on who got it worse tho.

Mass health seems to be working tho. It's a disgrace and a betrayal to the populous how exploitative the system over there is. I can only offer sympathy iam afraid.

It indeed is. In fact we just recently have the situation where far right party's are able to get between 20 to 40 % of votes. This has been the case in Europe in general for longer. We just late to the "party"

And I don't disagree with you since social security and free Healthcare are not available in the US

30% of germans are retirees. Almost 40% ( around that ballpark) of our expanses are retirement payments and social security. I am not against that per se but the retiremsystem needs reform desperately or it will just collapse in a few years.

The automotive industry struggle because they slept through the changes automotive design goes through right now. Arrogance and commonplacency.

Pistorius doesn't want to run, tho. Scholz statement of wanting to be chancellor again and having a chance is nothing short of delusional.

Not really. The cost of keeping them online would have been worse. They were aging.Heck Even the energy suppliers themselves agreed. (And got huge payouts)

On top of all that, we see a sharp move to the right and extreme right bolstered by algorithm enhanced vile propaganda online. We have problems that are being talked about for more than 30 years, yet not many parties have the guts to take them head on. But they need to be addressed and solved.

The coalition of 3 parties inherited the covid ripples. A war in Europe started and with it a engery crisis (averted) one party in the coalition (FDP) was pretty much opposition to anything the others tried. We have huge problems with the aging population. The infrastructure. Beraucracy and so on.

We don't see much of him either. Now and then, he remembered he has balls and does a bearable speech, but overall, he seemed weak and indecisive, especially when it comes to Ukraine supplies (see delivery's of Leo 2 tanks ect.). Sure, his reign wasn't easy given the state of the world.

He got voted in because the alternative seemed worse at the time and not because of his merits. There is also allegations about being corrupt or involved in tax evasion shemes. Beign ask about he stated he "can't remember " and that was before he got voted in.

Nostalgia is a dangerous drug but mate isent it lovely ? I have some more recent plastic minis but also a bit of a metal backlog. Somehow the old ones feel more like "tokens" due to their weight.

They also change with age. The new smell goes away with time, replaced by a moldy and/or smokey scent. It's a rather fascinating development. With old books, sometimes you can get glimpse of it's original smell putting your nose deeply into it's crevices.

There are the haptic factors too. The smell. The feel of the book in your hand. The little notches and maybe even notes from previous owners.
