Perfect game to play after I’m down with TotK replay then haha

Yea you can get expansions to go up to 8. I think 4-5 is ideal most of the time. 7+ is fun but very chaotic haha. I’ve only done it once or twice. Too many players make for long games.

Just a good multiplayer versus experience. Make social alliances, decide how much resources to commit to fight vs defend. It’s surprisingly simple and has fun aliens you can be. Always a fun time for a small group.

Haha we have the same taste. Social deduction and bidding you get the “crunch” from the depth of the player interactions, not the complexity of the mechanics. It’s why I love Cosmic Encounter so much. It’s pretty much a bidding game at the end of the day.

I like it a lot. It’s simple but always different. But still doesn’t feel so random or unfair. Crunchy enough for a casual dungeon crawl.

Like if I feel the need to "catch up" on a tv show and I'm reading the wikipedia page, what the hell am I even doing? Why watch that tv show at all? And yet, that's how a lot of people consume this media tbh.

On the flipside, plenty of media (ahem tv) seems like it is made specifically to have a bullet pointed wikipedia page written for it.

I don't take much issue with sports betting as a concept, but the issue is the people that make the sports and the people that handle the betting are the same, which is insane corrupt monopoly that leeches off human addiction. Also, Riot sucks.

Thank u I forgot how to do it but it worked anyway

Meanwhile I have like 3 star golds on 150cc in GP. It’s nuts.

I really enjoy the idea of knockout mode, I am very good at Mario Kart, and yet I cannot for the life of me ever win a knockout race. It’s just luck.

It’s it’s not perfect and it works, it’s perfect.

[me to the white cloaked maiden describing every game system in lore terms] “Ok and how do I ‘start a multiplayer game’?”

SE is like a bad drug for me. I keep buying their games, and they keep doing shit like this lol.

there was an article i saw where he said he changed things due to feedback that people like it to much, so this checks out

The physics 🤣

It's so goofy lmao. And it's gotten worse. The highest rated movies I frequently enjoy the least lol. At least new ones. Classic movies have scores from hindsight, so their ratings make more sense to me.

I have been enjoying it as a game to play with my wife. I think as far as "fun mutliplayer game" is concerned, it is very good. But I agree with you the GP is not as tight, and I don't feel as tuned into the tracks, because I can never actually play them long enough to figure them out.

Michael Clayton is awesome. The opening monologue along is worth an Oscar lol.

It was very enjoyable for me at first, I enjoyed the networked stuff a lot. But I think the distances got to me after a while. I like the mini problem solving of how do I get there
comment in response to post
Yeah, I wasn't super fond of the enemy stuff, but it sounds like in DS2 it at least is a change of pace. DS1 I got tired of delivering, the problem was always the same...go there

I'm not a religious person really but something about Signs hits me hard. I think because it's a movie about faith but not a religious one, idk haha. Not a lot of movies like that. Hard to put into words.
comment in response to post
Same! Signs score and The Village score both make me cry lol.

And LOTR of course, but I mean that's a way of life not a movie.

Honorable Mentions: The Dark Knight, Wall-E, Anatomy of a Fall, Men, The Last Duel, Prisoners, No Country for Old Men, Minority Report

I enjoyed DS a lot, but the last 30% was a slog for me because of the delivery systems. Like, I get what they were going for, but by the end it was just like ok more walking. The fact that in the new one you can actually engage enemies seems like it'll change the pace better.

The two things I'm 100% certain about Alex Garland: - he's a gamer - he's read lord of the flies
comment in response to post
Yeah, like kick people outta there if they cause a ruckus. They probably don't because they know they'd lose business or something smh, but I mean you are paying to go to the movies! Here in Austin I've had pretty good theatre exps but I avoid AMC like the plague.
comment in response to post
Ugh. AMC in Florida yea...ugh. I remember when I was in FL 10 years ago I'd go to CinemaWorld, which I was pretty fond of. AMC is so hit or miss. I feel like if anything they should have like "respect showings" where you can pay $2 extra for like a regular theatre experience or something lol
