Buyer’s remorse.. Today’s @smh @theage cartoon.

The Atlantic chooses this moment to drop a pro "tanks down Pennslyvania" fascist parade piece. Beyond parody. A perfect score in bootlicking.

mass protest is not the right way to oppose fascism. the right way to oppose fascism is to shake your head and say “no thank you” whenever a fascist offers you some fascism

US beef could be allowed into Australia for the first time in decades through a biosecurity rule review. www.theage.com.au/politics/fed...

I'm old enough to remember when "black lives matter" was called a bad slogan as it somehow implied it meant white lives didn't. I remember how kneeling during the anthem was called a disgusting way to protest. There is no form of protest appropriate to some people and you should ignore them

What the absolute ..

Twitter Blue Ticks a year ago: "we need our guns to fight Tyranny!" Twitter Blue Ticks now: "Yay Tyranny, go get 'em!"

Following up from yesterday, this in today’s SMH. It really opens my eyes to the fact that people are not good with money, made money and wealth in-spite of this fact, and this opportunity won’t be a question our next generations will ever get the chance to ask. #auspol #superannuation

ENOUGH!!! BASTA!!

People discovering terrible people get state honours is quite the thing!

Too bad all them there Well Regulated Militias don't recognize Tyranny when it's happening right in front of them* *I know, I know

These are one sentence apart. Words, what do they mean. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/07/o...

"less lethal munitions" is a hell of a term

Discworld QOTD, from Making Money

It's extraordinary how brutal police are willing to be, the lengths to which they are willing to go, the internal solidarity they are willing to show, in order to deliver to U.S. citizens—the protection of whom is their ostensible jobs—the clear message, "we are at war with you."

I think we the people of the United States can and should stop funding the troops that are waging war against we the people of the United States.

I saw someone call the paramilitary assault on LA a "distraction" along with tariffs, attacks on universities, taking over federal institutions, and Elon Musk, and I guess I'm just a little curious which part of this dictatorship counts as the actual news

I know this is divisive but I don't think we need to pay anybody to run over American citizens with cars for the crime of trying to stop mass kidnappings.

If you want to know how broken the American spirit is, 10s of millions of people look at this and it makes them feel safe.

This wins the week ... if not the year.

Your regular reminder that the Democrats are, collectively, the most truly collosal chowderheads on this entire planet

(little side-bar question - why the f*ck are we giving out awards on the King's Birthday weekend when they were introduced specially to replace the Royal/Imperial awards??)

I mean, who knew that the Honours List is, and always has been, a crock?

“Appeasers get eaten” is the motto of the 2020s

wHaT iS wEiGhInG oN pEoPle'S mInDs is having only $2 million for a tax free pension stream in retirement and a bit of more tax on the gains above $3 million in total super. (We are at the point where every person impacted has had their own op ed I think.)
