As a former Monarchs fan, I’ve been adrift with the W since they folded. So glad I adopted the Valkyries. Love the way they play and the players. So fun to see them competing so early.

Hard agree. The people saying it can't be done are often in the way of the people doing it.

It's almost as if they played most of their games without some combination of McCaffrey, Aiyuk, Williams, Ward, Greenlaw, Hargrave, Hufanga, Pearsall, and Mitchell. Maybe...just maybe...they'll be better this year when they have...you know...most of their good players.

I think you're a little too low on USC. I'd have them over Iowa, for sure, and probably over Illinois and Indiana. I think they made some sneaky good improvements in the offseason. I'm not unrealistic. They aren't a playoff contender, imo, but 10 wins and making a push aren't out of the question.

Yeah. Kings caught a huge break there. As great a defender as he is, that was a dumb fouls by Keon. Kings got baled out again. Where has all this luck been all season?

With any luck! I've completely converted to the idea that missing the playoffs and keeping the pick is the best outcome for this team right now. They will go nowhere in the playoffs and that pick is the most valuable asset they have right now.

What a horrible, misleading headline. It implicitly supports a false notion that these tariffs will positively impact American manufacturing. It’s almost as if NPR took a beating by the MAGA Republicans in Congress today. Please do better.

So stoked for the guys on the floor right now they deserve this.

How dare you spoil the doom fest with this reasoned, logical take. So much of the pearl-clutching by Niners fans is so ill-informed. There's a thing called the salary cap that teams have to navigate. As contending teams age, that becomes more difficult and rosters have to be balanced.

Best emerging filmmaker working today. Every film is a masterpiece. The Florida Project is the best depiction of homelessness I've ever seen depicted in popular culture. And I've been working in the housing/homelessness field for over 35 years.

Let there be unlimited Q&A. If the recipients are in red areas, have it there. Those local Republicans would have to respond.

Thanks. I think it's San Antonio or bust at this point.

How many more times are we all going to beg you to stop framing everything to avoid angering Trump? That's not your job. He framed it through a racist and ableist lens, not a political lens. You're not precluded from saying that. This is why after decades, I canceled my subscription to the NYT.

There's no amount of draft capital that would cause Sac to pull the trigger on this with those players. Sac has stated they want win-now current players AND significant draft capital for Fox. As they should.

Everyone involved with Houston Rockets basketball right now is embarrassing themselves. No way does Sac do this deal. A deal with Houston is DOA unless it includes probably Van Vleet ann one of the young bigs like Smith or Eason, along with a HAUL of draft picks.

Most fun I’ve had this entire wretched season. That was Kings basketball!

Agree. Not for Cam Johnson or John Collins, etc. Would have to be much more significant.

Same pattern over and over and over. I've been a fan since the day they moved to Sac. Except for those brief, glorious Adelman years, I've come to accept that this is a feature not a glitch of the Sacramento Kings.

Not saying they SHOULD trade Keegan. Just saying that he shouldn't be untouchable for the right deal.
comment in response to post
This is where I am. I do think they need to move off Keegan being untouchable, tho. Hate to say that, but Huerter, Lyles, Carter, Jones and their existing draft capital aren't likely to bring in assets that can really improve the team. Huge gamble but bigger gamble keeping status quo, imo.

Frank: It was destroyed. But out of that a new holiday was born a Festivus for the rest of us! Kramer: That must've been some kind of doll. Frank: She was. 2/2

As much as I hate to admit it, it's probably time for them to commit to an actual rebuild the way OKC, San Antonio, and Houston did. Blow it up. Get as much value for Fox now because his value has never been higher. Stockpile picks and let the tank for Cooper Flagg begin!
