Oh and screw DoorDash forever, too. I like this NY law forcing to donors to be on the ads.

Before 2024, i had no idea who Bill Ackman was. Now i know he helped depose the Harvard president, give us Trump and now floods my mailbox and tv to try to give us Cuomo. What a streak for a formerly anonymous douchebag.

Don't overlook that peer reviewers also get paid nothing and use their own time to do the reviews.

Me having almost no restorative work. Fluoridation has been a triumph of small work to make life better for tons of people at virtually no cost. (3/3)

Durable than tooth-colored fillings and did not actually contain elemental mercury. Fluoridation was the previous generation’s fight, and winning it meant that more dentists could do work beyond salvage. We went from my grandmother needing full dentures to my mother have a lot of fillings to (2/3)

1)When I was in dental school, mid 00s, to show the need for dental students and dentists to do political advocacy for the profession, we were shown a video of a congressional committee hearing with the then-ada president trying to explain to members that amalgam, which is cheaper and more (1/3)

And further, the priest and Levite cross the road to avoid the man. The Samaritan doesn’t do anything all that extraordinary, he just brings the injured man to an inn and asks them to take care of him and he’ll pay for it on his way back through, and then he goes back to his trip.

And the jackass is parked in the crosswalk to film this. My first thought was “how did he find a spot on Center?” Should have guessed immediately.

I’ve read/heard that when he came to WWF he latched onto Michaels Hall and Nash because he figured out they had the upperhand backstage. And Stephanie is just the next *ahem* evolution of the same move.

Every one I’ve ever spent time with him thought he had the same go away heat that Waltman had 25 years ago. Only one of them worked his way into power step by step and couldn’t go away.

One of the most insidious bits of right wing nonsense is how bad the dmv and post office are from a customer service perspective. I’d rather spend an entire day at the DMV than the eternity of almost any corporate customer service phone call.

I don’t even enjoy most current (aka the last like 20 years?) pop music that leans on drum loops and autotune and digital artifice because it feels so mechanical and cold to me.

As someone who drives to work between BX and Queens because transit would add 40 minutes, I love Congestion Pricing because it’s made my commute much faster, and again, I go no where near the tolling district

Would it not be patriotic for us to also send our accomplishments to [email protected]? Like if I sent, say, Dusty Rhodes’ “Hard Time” speech? Is that not patriotic?

Just like the Gulf of America on maps, I’m sending feedback. I have no clue if it will help to say “stop hiding this stuff and having it on by default” but as @edzitron.com said, we should speak out. Join me in telling them off!

I happily pointed out their cowardly mistake and everyone else should too. I deleted google maps. I’ll delete them too. I’ll use an atlas if I have to.

I cycled to work and about. 20 feet from the entrance, I was hit by a taxi that ran a red light. One witness, intervened (i wasnt really hurt but very shaken) by preventing the cabbie from driving off and called the nypd, who informed her that they were not required to respond.

I can’t even begin to understand the point of an automated reply that includes the most tepid platitudes. What is the angle on having a bot reply to a dumb story about not buying a coke? Truly the future is asinine.

I was in a cvs on monday on the upper east side and the friggin coke cooler next to the register, an impulse item, was locked and I am supposed to flag down the one worker in the store to open it as she attends to three other people. Cvs did not get my $2.89.

The giant douche nozzle was selected class commencement speaker for our college class. My family’s comments after graduation finished: “that speech was horrible.” Needless to say they were shocked at his job five years after.

How many on the staff, particularly the editorial staff, take transit? Can’t help but feel this is more opinion dressed as news.

My favorite movie since I was 6 is Ghostbusters. The misogynist discourse about the 2016 remake didn’t change that. Because I’m an adult.

I’m so much the audience for your book, I bought and read it after not being patient enough for the library hold to come through and got another copy for Christmas from a friend. It is a wonderful book. I dismissed this documentary immediately because of Simmons and never connected it to you.

Meanwhile, in ny queens neighborhood, i see cars with sanded down playes, folded over edges, or no plates. I see PA registered cars that are always in nyc, i see GA and NJ temp plates that they didnt even bother printing new fake ones.

A few months ago, I got a letter from the NY DMV that it had “cover come to their attention” that my license plate was a problem. Fix it within a month or it will be suspended. I had to pay extra to keep my tag number. My plate looking like it was peeling a thin plastic layer. It was 100% readable.

Papers I’ve written have gone to reputable journals where three human beings (and I’m one of them for a few) review and offer commentary to a human editor regarding the content of the manuscript. No question this is a predatory journal. The concept knows no academic boundaries.

If the authors and the editor and the publication doesn’t care, you get this garbage. It’s awful.
