I'm not sure what the frontman does these days, but here he is in 2012 (the bike song was from 1999-ish, when the group members were 15-16):

I don't know about the last part, but I know there's reason to suspect he molested a manatee, so my opinion of the guy can't exactly get meaningfully worse.

I'm trying to listen, but I keep being distracted by the guy on the bottom left who's snickering wide eyed and hyperventilating like Butthead.
I guess there's no exception to how you can tell everything relevant about someone from their company ><

So, uh, since this got some attention I didn't expect.
I make 100% chud-hostile sci-fi. Sometimes contemporary. Sometimes horny. Do have a look.

There is. And I'm trying as hard as I can to describe them without dehumanizing them, but I can't get around how they stay afloat by breeding faster than the snakes can kill them.

I wanted to adopt some ferrets to help cope with mid life crisis at 40, but I neither have the lifestyle or reliable income compatible with having pets, so it's close to home.
Pet 'em from me.

I haven't seen Andor, but even if I had I wouldn't compare current events to it.
I'd probably compare to other years in my lifetime, like 2024, 2021, 2020, 2016, 2008, 2005, 2001, 1999, 1995, 1991, 1989...
... Maybe I would compare to Andor just to avoid thinking about reality.

There is no man so wretched he isn't capable of warmth, given the right circumstances...

Widespread and normalized anti-intellectualism.
When people don't care about wanting to know how anything works, they just idle on to the least resistance conclusion.

It seems wise to be wary of a man who assumes strangers doubt he loves his country, and that whether he does is important.

Resorted to that once. Wouldn't wish it on anyone >< Hang in there!

Crunching an average off the top of my head, animals in captivity with access to clean water, safe food, and antiparasitic treatment live 2-4 times longer than in the wild, not counting accident or predation.

By the end of the song he's come to realise that he doesn't actually mind if he's stuck with it, since it's pretty extraordinary that in spite of everything it still gets him around.
The bike was real and was ridden around the stage in live performances.

In the lyrics, the mid-teen narrator laments the state of his bike, including:
-Only gear 1 works
-Front wheel is skewed
-Both tires are flat
-Mudflaps are straighter than the frame
-Chain may or may not move
-Walking is faster
-Saddle is actively trying to kill him
-It's heavier than lead

Glad you like it <3 Been feeling under the weather the past week, so trying to get back in shape sketching. Got a lot of ideas on the backburner.
The song is unfortunately not available online, but it is by a revue group from my childhood hometown.

I mean, I've heard of it before, listened to essays on it and stuff. But just rhetorically, how does bleach drinking form a community? It's like forming a Roundup cocktail community, or a rattlesnake-based masochism community.

I'm curious how he plans to square that, but the expectations are low.

What are you currently doing to bring about a world where art doesn't need to be political?

How exactly is there a *community* for drinking bleach?

Inspired by the designs of @sergalprojects.bsky.social - whose, unlike those in the lyrics, function superbly. But it's the only song about bikes that has sentimental value to me, so putting two good things together.

This isn't the first time in my lifetime US servicemen have found themselves widely regarded as unwelcome invaders, but they usually leave their own borders first.

On second thought, calling them "pirates" is too generous. Pirates, historically at least, gravitate towards favouring freedom of travel and stable democracy.
