This. 15 years of promotions skipped because “can’t you just turn off your autism and be more charming?” No, I can’t. Although, a proper rephrase would be “I can’t flick a switch and be nauseatingly dishonest and ingratiating towards human beings who deserve honest communication.”

Yearly active assailant training is my annual reminder that I live in a country so obscene and ridiculous that it would rather require employers to drown me in seminars of “run, hide, or fight” training than actually REMOVE tools of assault from public access. Ludicrous.
