If the Dems truly saw themselves as an opposition party then the entire apparatus would be mobilizing people into the streets of California against federal troops. Newsome would put himself at the front of the line. Party leaders would coalesce around it. “If” is doing the heavy lifting.

Yes! I wish more people would understand this. Yes, Trump is awful, but he is just a result of all these things people ignored and let slide over the years. This is honestly what happens when you keep voting “the lesser evil”. Evil is still evil, but no one wants to get off the two party system. 🤷🏽‍♀️
