and, if you have opinions contrary to those of the orange demon -- or you think you might look like someone who does...then gtfo - soon.

maybe I misunderstood the program. if they were giving mortgages to ppl in that situation it makes sense but I understood folks had to qualify for loans from banks. so, it's hard to see it being much help. 25k doesn't make a downpymt for many places these days - not to mention income requirements.
comment in response to post
who was that 25k directed towards....the folks that were already voting for her -- folks who could nearly afford a house....it was an insult to people with no saving who couldn't make rent without room mates...I'd bet those of folks who stayed home 90%+ think they will never own a home.

I don't think that's true - policies matter a lot and those can more easily be tried than refusing to run women or POC...I think folks barely making it and constantly worried about ending up not making it could care less about what gender or color the president is - it sucks for them no matter who.

when I think of what we could have had if only the Dems offered to fight for visionary polcies to make life better for folks...it makes me angry with them, not with the voters. And now they're still not getting it -- vice talking bout how they're gonna make things right...it's all orange man bad...
comment in response to post
what's the solution....I always ask the folks who want to place the blame on racism...I guess only white folk get to be nominated in the Dem party going forward.... -- that'd be popular with their donors I suppose...unlike policies that might help people.

I got a lot of that over on X -- folks there like to name call vice discuss.

4 me, if the Dems don't seriously assess what went wrong and change course we're in for endless GOP rule. it wasn't the voters, it was the policies. supporting a genocide and only offering marginal proposals on the economy when radical changes are needed is what lost the elction...not stupid voters.

I think many of them said if they can do what they're doing to Gaza they are simply not the lesser of 2 evils...they are evil....and they couldn't support it -- I wanted to see her elected -- but I don't blame the people who didn't vote -- I blame her for it -- the buck has to stop there for me.
comment in response to post
I had nothing to do with it -- just telling what I think happened - the Dem party is going along as though they did nothing wrong....and so many think thats true -- it's just stupid voters...what does everybody have against not killing palestinians and maybe doing something for the poor...
comment in response to post
likely all she had to do was say she'd stop backing the genocide... - polled non-voters said that was their number 1 reason -- motivate wasn't a great choice of words -- but, sure, make a big deal of that and not the issue raised...
comment in response to post
always the voters' fault -- -how about blaming Harris for not being able to motivate them to come out ---- they came out in 20 for Joe...but then he decided to back a genocide...but, sure, it's the voters' fault.

I stopped watching 60 minutes years ago when they platformed that SEAL who executed an unarmed Iraqi -- I hope everyone turns them off if they bend the knee to the OD.

Yes -- we all know the lesser of 2 evils argument -- we keep falling for it and it's why things are so f'd

aid? wow

how bout standing up to defund the machine that sends them to war....
comment in response to post
yeah -- if those number meant anything anymore -- with gilded age inqequality they don't - on Gaza, if we weren't sending 10s of billions that might make some sense -- these are the arguments Dem consultants make...and lose elections with - but they haul in big fees and live comfortable lives.

the economy was bad except for the wealthy or the comfortable people like me who have a house and a pension...for 60-80% it was bad and is getting worse -- hmmm, maybe if ppl had worried about us committing a genocide in Gaza & Harris had proposed to stop it -- we'd have a better situation now.

my prayer is that we all start or continue to demand that this outrageous abuse of our tax dollars and the health/lives of our military men and women begins to be reckoned with -- that we start to demand significant reductions...please. 2/2
comment in response to post
alongside that the Dems need to do a mea culpa and change their ways -- the #1 reason non-voters polled said they stayed home was Gaza -- has any Dem come out saying they were wrong on that issue?..#2 was the economy, what big policy changes have any Dems proposed there?
comment in response to post
I think's it's cuz it got harder 4 most folks to make it & his polices -- Dem policies -- did v little to change that. Inequality was, & still is, on an unsustainable trajectory..homelessness, deaths of desperation - not to mention he failed to end Afghanistan and gave the 08 robber barons a pass.
comment in response to post
no, it is to call for huge cuts to the military and for congress to reassume it's responsibility to declare war and do away with the AUMF which has let imperial presidents send troops off to die for profit.

It's always useful to keep in mind that Obama led to Trump....

it's an interesting elephant in the room -- Zionists linkng arms with anti-semites....probably isn't gonna turn out the way they think
comment in response to post
I wonder how many people actually stop to contemplate that the way Obama left the country is why we got Trump....
comment in response to post
be specific please -- what specific risks are you talking about -- I've had a good friend share your writing repeating this and they think it's great -- I asked them what you're talking about and...crickets...call for specific action please
