@tomsclark.bsky.social true but also we face a Fascist coalition promulgating no-holds-barred class war in aid of replacing our political system with a police state. The White Supremacist/Nationalist wing of said coalition headed by Miller literally views this as ethnic cleansing-which it is.

I feel that someone has to speak up. Of course all baked goods are better right out of the oven drunk. But there are bagels right out of an oven drunk somewhere in Canada and then there are bagels right out of the oven drunk at Kozars, sorry.

Interesting. I think the word comes from the idea of Liberal (as opposed to Illiberal) democracy-"a proponent of Liberal Democracy". The "Founding Fathers"-revolutionaries-were Liberals.
Ronald Reagan & Bush Senior successfully converted the word to a pejorative during their Presidential campaigns.

This brings up an interesting (interesting to me anyway) question. In my view "the Left" is a continuum and liberals are a broad and increasingly vague category on that continuum, somewhere near the center.
