Parents have ruined sports for the past 10 years and it gets worse every year. Now they got parents who politicize events with their stupid phobic t-shirts and statements which makes matters worse. Which is why I would never officiate a game again.

Dad got all peacock-y and i said "you can go home too" and he said "fuck you" and I booted him as well. Then the wife stands up in the bleachers and goes on some tirade and I threw her out of the gym as well. Told them all to go get dinner early.

The son, who was playing in the game (grade 6-8 iirc) got called for a foul (by me) and proceeded to throw a fit, I warned him, he said "fuck you!" and told the coach (his dad) to rein him in. Kid said "fuck you" again, and i tossed him.
Unreal behavior, and I was absolutely shocked...

If you act like this during a school event, you don't need to set foot on school grounds again. For anything.
I refereed games running from grade 3/4 to grade 7/8 and parents are the problem. Some think that their kid is going pro as soon as they get them into a sport. Delusional.
