That’s 8 wins in a row for the #MilwaukeeBrewers.

Good morning friends, I am happy to announce that last night, as usual, Peggy the llama and Sprengjia the Icelandic horse were elected union reps at the annual assembly. Both are natural leaders & both have extra long eyelashes they use to manipulate their human dad for extra hay, apples & carrots.

I ask myself often, “How did I get here?” But I am not referring to the physical place. I am referring to the journey, the process with which we become aware of our own divinity as spiritual beings. How have you become the person you are today?

“Small boy in a hoodie,” Pasaje Juvenal, Cerro Santo Domingo, Valparaíso, Chile. To my many friends—poets, painters, cultural entrepreneurs, etc.—who live & inhabit this city deeply: You have earned the right to criticize the city if you want. The rest can keep their negativity to themselves.

Valparaiso’s Polanco Elevator is the city’s only non-funicular used as public transport. Access is through a 150-meter tunnel built in 1913. Declared a national monument in 1976, the lift is 1 of 3 urban elevators in the world of its kind. Sadly, few Chileans know it exists & fewer have visited.

Kniphofia flowers on Bellamar Street, Cerro Placeres, Valparaíso, Chile. Below the hill is the artisanal fisherman’s wharf known as Caleta Portales. Fruit reefers in the bay are waiting to take fresh Chilean produce to a supermarket near you.

Good morning friends. I am back in my beloved Valparaiso and will return to our farm in Futaleufú after my birthday in early June. Since this is one of the most photographed cities in Latin America, it’s not easy to find new ways of seeing the city. I call this, “What the blue morning glory sees”

Warning! Alpaca herding Cheesehead gaucho poet spotted on the streets of Santiago this morning while in transit from Futa to Valpo. I spent the night at my son’s new apartment & had breakfast with my daughter. Hopefully I will post some good Valpo pics this week before heading back to Futa. Cheers!

To our American friends inquiring whether we are hiring at our farm in Futaleufú, Chilean Patagonia: Lets see 🤔… 18-month old Orri is starting to get his fluffy winter coat. He will need to be brushed daily once it fully comes in. Any takers?

Last night’s sunset is a good excuse to show off some changes on our farm in Chilean Patagonia. The cute little house front left is the new home we built for our managers, Bety & Daniel. The old green house will be repurposed into 2 separate spaces, one for honey &, the other, for fiber production.

Sights & sounds of the Azul River from our yoga terrace on Tuesday, the first sunny day after a week of heavy rain. To our friends in the US: we know there is a lot of toxic gaslighting being directed at you. Stay healthy. Stay strong. Stay on the right side of history. The world is with you.

Good morning bluesky friends! After some heavy rains the past few days, we had a stunning afternoon yesterday. Of course, your favorite Patagonian Cheesehead gaucho poet was out both at dusk & dawn to photograph reflections in the ponds & puddles. Expect no less.
