Yup. I’m sad the season is over but feel like the way they went out means they can’t ignore it, because if they make a go at it, there’s a realistic path to a title in next few years.

Since that first season Lindor’s been an amazing Met. I think with time and coaching some of KAT’s weaknesses can be blunted. And you do it because what he can do is very impactful.

Pacers are 16 of 31 by comparison.

I wonder if they didn’t want a repeat in some way of what was done for No Time to Die

Indy is a really good team and their chemistry and familiarity is a huge plus with how they just find openings and make defenses look silly. I think Knicks aren’t that far off their level. A new coach could get more out of this construction with some open-mindedness.

The Knicks starting lineup flaws were something they overcame at times with a blistering hot offense. This summer they should be able to address both. Mitch has a movable contract, teams would want him. Bench money opens up too. I believe getting this close will make them adjust.

season isn't over yet, very uphill journey ahead, i am frustrated because this should be a 2-2 series given how sloppy things have been, but given what Knicks have done in my lifetime, i can't allow myself to get fire and brimstone negative

i think they also look to have someone who shoots the 3 with conviction as a first option, similar to what Donte did... but they also need to try and develop some of their own pieces because other teams doing so has played dividends in these playoffs

i think heading into next season they have options if they decide to pull the chute on one of OG/Bridges if they want to reconfigure the starting 5, i think Mitch is gone for a center who contribute on both ends and lets KAT play the 4

you can look at what they were trying to accomplish, and it didn't work fully as they wanted it to, the offseason moves meant they had to slap together a bench, and they also spent a lot of time without Mitch
