Only if you are John Ficarra or Sam Viviano. If you are, props to you both for such a witty piece.

Because he knew he couldn't steer it himself; or couldn't tear himself away from the golf course long enough to be bothered

Yes. Same thing at Benning during X-Ray. They used to send the telegrams via taxi until Col. Moore's wife called a halt to that. Was that FB Leslie that got overrun? 2/12 infantry was there. Not sure who the red legs were at that FB

They were mostly National Guard guys who enlisted during the Depression to help put food on the table in rural South Central Va. Bedford County is near Lynchburg

Thank God for the courageous destroyers nearly scraping their hulls to shell the heights on Omaha and bail out 1st & 29th. Bedford Boys have a statue and memorial in Bedford Va. They were in 1st wave of 29th and got the worst of it.

Glad you appreciate it. I went to Loyola New Orleans for music and my middle son studied it at Temple. He played a lot before Covid. He has a U Tube site called Bernies Bootlegs that is all jazz. He also has my prized horn and record collection, both of which he has improved on
