I don't play super current releases on PC/Deck since I don't have the hardware, but otherwise in my experience games are far more likely to work than not. It's pretty nuts and I'm seriously considering installing Steam OS when my Win10 gaming PC goes EoL, my last remaining non-VM Windows install.

It's criminal there's still no 60fps version of this. It's quite possibly the best kart racer of all time, along with the original. The boost mechanic is THAT good.

Any number of "how did I survive that" situations are good examples of why putting the game dev finger on the scale can benefit the experience

Wouldn't you just need metal since the magnets are in the sides of the Switch?

Hell I was getting a procedure done at a hospital and I faintly heard the radiologists talking (favorably, as far as I could tell) about Trump. Even people in caregiving professions, in a blue state.

Not only should it have been free, it should have been *pre-installed*

Oh no big deal, I only JUST bought a second one to keep paired to my PC

Especially in the early days of 3D when there weren't any established conventions. Remember that PS1 didn't have analog at all initially.

Same. I don't have a following myself and mostly follow artists and other people whose work I enjoy, so I haven't noticed a supposed "decline".
There are definitely people that are still only on Twitter, but for me there's more than enough to see here too.

Dunno but I'm with you on this one. "Ground" is earth, "floor" is indoors, or *maybe* a manmade outdoor platform

One of the first costumes I unlocked and it's been my main since

The run-up to it is great too, like everyone's racing to go see it. When you get to it, it doesn't look like anything new or special at first, but as the segments progress it gets even better

They will never implement a standalone user-accessible Internet browser, it's a primary vector for exploits and browsers would need to be kept constantly up-to-date

Nothing yet for me, playing around with testing Switch 1 games and a whole bunch of MK World. No problems so far. Only a matter of time though

Echoes of Wisdom is also one that I saw some videos with it still stuttering pretty bad, but for me it was very smooth. I only tried it quickly, but it had very few brief stutters. Worlds better than on S1.

Both Hyrule Warriors are definitely on my list to test out soon, when I can put down Mario Kart

It's absolutely delightful and full of joy, but honestly no, in no universe would I have paid 80 bucks for it or gotten the system solely for it

That's wild to hear, I LOVE clicky pads. The Vita's, DS (phat) and GBA SP's are my favorite d-pads ever made.

It would kind of be less authentic to how you played it though, in terms of representing your experience with it

There aren't any, neither Switch supports analogue triggers

Also this kart's engine sounds when it's revving or idling are the koopa troopa noises, I love it

I'm actually fairly disappointed just how much Fast Fusion's visuals are marred by the typical post-processing & upscaling artifacts... Everything just looks so fuzzy to me (regardless of graphics preset) and it's a look I've hated for years :(

My only and last (likely last ever) midnight launch in a proper line and everything was on Switch launch day... for BotW on Wii U lmao (couldn't afford Switch at launch)
We stood outside in the freezing cold for hours, and I didn't get home until 4AM. Zelda was worth it though even w/o a Switch

Just watching the Sony State of Play and seeing the redone FFT dithered and the original emulated version not just confused me even more, lmao

Hopefully Capcom takes this chance and just makes a full crossover Capcom fighter

If I remember correctly I think this game has a forced dither layer over the entire image. I THINK that's this game-- the even checkerboard pattern would suggest so as well.
I could be wrong.

The Link's Awakening stuttering was never due to visuals as far as I understand, it was bandwidth and CPU-limited when loading assets, which is why it commonly stuttered upon exiting buildings, etc.
Goponga swamp was one of the only GPU-limited areas.
