It’s wild that you have to serve 10 years to get the pension when the average MLB career is only ~3 years.

I think Seattle/Washington asking him to pay his fair share in taxes really sent him off the deep end over the last few years. In his mind, he brought Seattle into a golden age and should be seen as a god for it.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Even so, how do you realistically commit enough trains to a Judkins Park spur?

People can design their properties how they want but the English rowhouses are more energy and space efficient by design.

A bunch of this might be solved by removing the I-90 ramps on Rainier. But it’s likely to spring stress on east/west routes up onto Beacon Hill to get to I-5 (which is also already equally bad).

The geography won’t allow it. There aren’t enough north/south thoroughfares to move cars during peak hours.
The only future is better infrastructure and service for those traveling by foot, bike, or transit.

Most of the homes immediately around me are townhomes. Because of it, we have 24 homes on our 1-block stretch of street instead of the 4 that used to be there. Makes for a good yearly block party.

That’s not Dan’s complaint, tho. Your critique is good faith. His is bad.

We can always… build more schools (or expand our current schools). Thats a good problem to have.

I live in one. Might not be my dream aesthetic, but I don’t think it’s some offense to God.
The things that I think make them less attractive are all 100% zoning code stuff, too. That Dan and co. are responsible for perpetuating.

The southside grocer I'm really curious about is the rumored "local independent" one that is going to fill ~9k square feet at Grand Street Commons on Rainier.

Had to steer my Dad away from this account. He finally believed me when after one of their number callouts they said “so what do you think this means?” Just such obvious engagement farming.

I can’t think of a relevant foreign policy decision here that hasn’t been made since 1945 other than deciding to drop nukes on another country.

“not since Truman in 1945”
Are the U.S. or Israel considering dropping a nuke or something…?

Maybe you disagree. You think we aren't there yet.
If so, I respect that. Your vantage point is different from my own.
But I ask you: What, then, is your Rubicon? And how many times have you already moved the goalposts?
I know I moved the goalposts many times these past few months. No more.

To be clear:
I am not calling for a Civil War. I am saying that it is already here. The Trump Regime is using state powers to war against its political opponents and an acceptance of that truth is just and wise.

I am becoming more and more comfortable with saying this:
The Trump Regime has started a Civil War against its political opponents.
You and I, we are staring down the barrel of their gun. Many of us will find ourselves, or those we love, imprisoned or worse.

Don’t get it twisted. The SPD Chief’s statement does not necessarily align with the rank and file of SPOG. Lot of people think SPD officers defied the mayor and chief in 2020.

..."It was glorious for Americans to drench the soil, and crimson the sea with blood, to escape the payment of a three penny tax upon tea; but it is crime to shoot down a monster in defence of the liberty of a black man and to save him from a bondage"
