Tariffs work only when used as designed. They are punitive in nature and meant to discourage consumption.
Using them to raise revenue and fund the budget leads to inflation and recession.

Not to be a Debbie Downer here, but there is a point to be made. Perhaps we should not be using helium to fill ballons. Helium is a finite resource and is becoming more valuable to critical instruments like MRI and possibly more technologically advanced applications. We should stop wasting it.
