Thank you - Iβve learned so much about my family (and my husbandβs) in the past half-dozen years since retirement. Was even contacted by a third cousin in Northern Ireland last week! βοΈ

Finally pieced together this story from our familyβs past. A sad tragedy from 1890, but now we can remember those who were lost: toomuchbrudders.com/2025/05/18/1...

This set of books makes me happy even when Iβm not reading one of them. ππ

I keep all our Folio Society editions together. Theyβre kind of snobby that way. ππ

I learned about Angelβs Trumpet, thanks to a bit of prose my mom wrote in 1946:

Thank you. Our youngest son gave us a squirrel feeder for Christmas. (Photo is grandson helping Gary hoist it into a tree.) But not one squirrel has approached it in all these months. Other trees, yes β¦ but the feeder remains untouched. π€·ββοΈ

Sadly, my parents have both since passed away. The morning of my dadβs funeral, I looked out and saw one of the bird feeders was toppled over and basically smashed to smitherines on the back patio. It seemed quite symbolic. That was a tough day!

We scurried out of there once we realized our mistake. π³ Maybe it wasnβt the first time it happened.

Thank you. It does my heart good to see my momβs poetry still appreciated years after her death. (She did not βgo gently.β β€οΈ)

We had not one - but two! - foxes come to visit! I paired it with one of my momβs poems: toomuchbrudders.com/2025/05/07/t... π¦

Hereβs a pair: Demon Copperhead followed by David Copperfield. I read a lot and must say both were standouts! Whatever you choose, enjoy! πππ‘
