City of Heroes: Homecoming Issue 28, Page 2 now in open beta! So much good stuff in this, y'all.

"These devs are making the game too hard!" cries player who reacts with shock and anger when you suggest that maybe they shouldn't play at max difficulty settings.

When you have to explain to an adult that "in loco parentis" does not mean "parents are crazy."

Sticking to "one caffeinated drink per day and then switch to water" is a lot harder than I thought it would be.

OMG, someone actually updated the "Gender Politics" mod for Stellaris. This has unironically made my day. I'll be able to bring back my pseudo-Roman Empire andrarchist eagle-aliens, the Stella Aquilae Imperium.

My 3 types of RPG character: 1) Guy keeping a portentous secret from the other PCs; nobody ever picks up on the hints and the secret never comes out. 2) Guy inspired by one or more obscure comics/novel/film characters. 3) Guy who looks directly at the camera with a face that says "this bitch."

I totally get that people need to do whatever they need to do to get themselves through the day, but *damn* do I hate "it's not a disability, it's a super power!"

It's wild how you can kind of tell how old a gamer is by whether they use "mob" to mean one singular entity or a group of entities.

Just warning everyone not to need me on Monday as I'm likely to get sucked into a black hole of Stellaris

Listening to an interview in a hidden window while I work on something else, and I could not for the life of me figure out why Gavin Newsom kept insisting that Trump wasn't a cannibal. What did I miss? Finally it dawned on me he wasn't saying "a cannibal," he was saying "accountable."

Anyone who knows me knows I am not a "rah rah support the military no matter what" guy, but FFS this asshole can take "Victory Day" and throw it in the "Gulf of America."

Movie you've watched more than six times using gifs. ("Hard mode" no Star Wars, Star Trek, or LoTR)

FFS I wish people would stop using "mental health" as a euphemism when what they really mean is "mental illness." There is nothing bad or wrong or shameful about using the words "mental illness" when you're talking about mental illness! Some of us have mental illnesses! It's okay to talk about it!
