Doesn't work great here in the Philippines - not enough birders to submit data I suppose. Worked great in Klamath Falls though. My daughter turned into a fellow bird nerd, so we met there for a birding outing.

DO NOT protest holding a Mexican flag… that’s hurting, not helping, and feeding their narrative.
Confuse them with this:
No better footage than showing them attacking someone holding an America flag.

I would like to stop Musk bashing for a little while, as long as he is Trump bashing. The anti-Musk stuff is reading as pro-Trump. Let them fight it out in public please. This is the most damage we can do to Trump, as the too many Dems are not really into it.

I guess you got me there - I had to Google why you might call a Northern Flicker a "polkadot anteater". Just think what it would be like if you got to officially rename all animals.

We rented bikes to go down the mountain in Maui and saw two of these geese at a trail head by the road on the ride down - so I didn't think they were so rare. Lucky me - as I am a twitcher.

If I remember this right (not in person): The fall of the Roman Empire was largely due to the wealthy dudes, in order to get even wealthier increased taxes / tribute from the farmers / workers to support the top-heavy empire. Inflation happened. Devaluation happened. Rich were insulated until...

Some sort of ficus/rubber tree - They are always sending out probes - this one easily beats the 5 foot "probe" on my rubber tree.

We could have hung out - we would never try for the same girl. Though I am old, fat, and ugly, I would have no interest in that one - one man's meat is another man's poison

Reading the history of Crimea, but briskly. USSR put the Crimean oblast under the control of the Ukrainian SSR in the 1940's . It was previously part of the Ottoman empire until Russia took it over - Stalin "cleansed" the natives - separate story. So until 1980 was part of the USSR. could be wrong

I have dated and loved a trans female, but honestly, I would not have if she had a penis. I have read Middlesex, I completely get you can be born in the middle and so are excluded from this: Here is why YOU might say I am transphobic. If penis: legally male. if vagina: legally female
comment in response to

Feel free to block me as I might be a transphobe, I don't know, but blocking people who you think are - and as such blocking dialogue - is akin to Trump taking down people and institutions - and deporting people - because they disagree with him.
Is there a middle ground? I believe so: page 1 of 2

I read that, you know, people who nearly agree with each other argue more vehemently amongst themselves than with those with opposite ideologies.

I love Sci-Fi. Not so much fantasy. I also think zombies should be in whatever category vampires, werewolves, witches, and all are put - none of these in sci-fi please. I do read fantasy occasionally, but consider it a different genre to sci-fi. Still no zombies though.

On airplanes I take to watch something light - a comedy or animation usually - or a good non-zombie sci-fi.

A big problem is that so many MAGA keep defending all of this stuff. "What's wrong with streamlining government?" type of stuff, ignoring the actual effects this will have on themselves down the line.

Solution to everything: Sell your USED Tesla to a MAGA. You a nice used non-Tesla car. The MAGA has done his patriotic duty by buying a Tesla, Tesla gets no new sales from Trumps infomercial

I haven't been watching movies for years, but I still see the names of them on various media no matter what. I have never even seen the word "Anora" before though. Ever. If I was doing Final Jeopardy and the category was "Anora", I would confirm to the audience that I was a dunce.

Is Bluesky a bit of an echo chamber? While I am not saying anyone is wrong, there does not seem to be any intelligent discourse. Just Black and White where there is really grey. Dark grey hinging on black, or light grey hinging on white, buthistory tells us that nothing is that simple.

I am stupid I suppose. I just ate two hotdogs (here in the Philippines) that had casings on them. Checked with Gemini if they are edible - and yes! They are designed to give the hot dog an extra snap when you bite into them.
Wrongo Gemini, but too late for me - they were plastic.
