I’ve had a large diversity of finches this winter: redpolls, pine siskins, goldfinches, and purple finches. Usually, the last two of these spend winter farther south, but this year, they remained in larger numbers.

I haven’t seen any this winter (but a bunch last winter) in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Glad they’re around somewhere.

I have big flocks of finches at my feeder. Those big flocks of finches usually wind up with salmonella. Maybe best to keep them dispersed.
