The same company had a store robbed a few years back, and the 18 year old girl they had working alone overnights was murdered by the robbers. They had that store reopened within hours of the police clearing the scene, no regard for the mental trauma that any of the staff experienced as a result

Apparently, this was also after the investment firm that owns the store and has a virtual monopoly in the area forced the manager to cut back on staff, leaving the store with only one person closing most nights in a very rural, bump in the highway.

I saw this story on Facebook about a store in a small town that was robbed, and the manager who had been there for 18 years was fired for both following and violating company policy.
The positive side of the story is that lots of people in the area are determined to boycott the store as a result

They need more bodies for the workhouses. It's why they're taking SNAP benefits away right about average age for children in workhouses in the 1800s, expect to see a lot of State bills trying to dramatically lower the employment age soon.

Having been a caretaker for a dementia patient, I see a lot of similarities in his mannerisms, speech patterns, and mood swings that remind me a lot of the early mid stages, before the self reliance was totally gone but it was becoming an issue
