As Dr. Scott Gottlieb (@scottgottliebmd.bsky.social) stated during the discussion, multiple states are below 70% vaccination rate for #measles which is setting up for more measles outbreaks across the country. It's happening NOW; not in the some distant future.

With all of Trump's administrations bluster, the U.S. has continued to support Ukraine with money and ammunition at almost the same level as when Biden was in office. Nothing about the Trump admin is what it seems.

Let’s clarify. The parliamentarian’s power comes from the laws that have been passed by Congress in which they interpret. During the budget reconciliation process, the parliamentarian applies the rules, particularly the Byrd Rule.

2/2 Highlights from @kedseconomist.com article: "The Budget Bill Is Creating a Republican Existential Crisis"
"If tax cuts don’t spur economic growth and a growing deficit requires new revenue, what is the purpose of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”?"

4/4 The Clinton admin told the Bush admin to watch the financial industry which they completely disregarded. I was actually against the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act, but it wouldn't have prevented the Great Recession. 4/4

3/4 Good idea that subsequently went to far. Obama tried to reverse some of this but his admin had bigger fish to fry (e.g. the Great Recession, ACA, etc.). Deregulation of the financial industry wasn't necessarily a bad idea, but it needed strong gov't regulation. 3/4

2/4 President Clinton pushed hard to reform healthcare which was led by then First Lady Hillary Clinton, but they couldn't get it through the House so it failed. Pvt gov't agencies? Prevailing thought at the time was some things could be done better via pvt industry. 2/4

Under President Clinton he had a very combative Republican U.S. House of Representatives that was being led by Newt Gingrich, the 50th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Speaker. Republicans called for work requirements, not Clinton. I can't speak on CALEA. 1/4

What specific policies supported deindustrialization, deregulation, and fiscal austerity? Was the economy bad under Clinton? What specifically was bad about his 8 years in office?

What specific policies made you think she was 100% a capitalist? What policies did she enact that emphasized her relationship with Wall Street and Finance that differed from President Barak Obama? What did you not like about the Obama admin, since you mentioned him?

Thanks for responding, but could you take the time to provide specific examples of why you don’t like or disagree with her? What has HRC done to make you feel that she is “super status quo?” What would you have liked for her to have done to change your mind?
