Willem founded a magazine to ask his fellow artists to resist. He urged them to hide the Jews & use their skills to help forge papers. He was putting himself at great risk. He had realised that the registration of Dutch Jews & others was not for their safety, as claimed.

I am going to have to go see it.

Na, you'd absolutely come up with a reason Israel was in the right.

Israel has nuclear weapons. Can Iran attack the people who work on them, or is that a privilege reserved for Israel?

Star Trek: Legacy honestly seems like the worst idea ever to me. I don't want more nostalgia-fueled look-backs. I want Star Trek: New Ideas.

Wait, they rereleased it???

This is just short of a declaration of war on the city of LA and the state of California by the federal government. And really just barely short of it.

Based on his recent posts, he wouldn't even meet the threshold for the treatments he is continuing under the gatekeeping model he himself is now calling for. He just has to hope he doesn't succeed. I can see why people think he's being coerced.

I just can't wrap my head around how Hendrix managed to embrace transmedicalist and TERF ideology in the same post, while simultaneously continuing to enjoy the benefits of the fight trans people have been waging for self id and bodily autonomy.

or going off your hormones, or going back to your original pronouns. Kids these days just say they're detrans, and attack the trans community, and they've got every billionaire grifter bigot showering them with love and support. It's sick.

It's fascinating how often cis people seem to think that trans people have no right to privacy and as soon as transness is invoked, they have a right to ask any question no matter how invasive. This seems like the ultimate expression of that phenomenon.

It's pretty telling how much they hate Stonewall.

The fact that she told you that Article 8 doesn't apply to being outted for using a bathroom proves she doesn't believe trans people have human rights.

Honestly one of the wilder things she mentioned just offhand.

I guess we'll see her at Pride.

...previous legal advice that we've taken on that area." Hard to see how that doesn't directly contradict Goodwin, which ruled specifically on the right to privacy based on Article 8.

Whoa, ok, I think this is a big revelation. At time stamp 16:17:00 approximately, in relation to a question about being outted for using a toilet, Falkner says "we do not think Article 8 rights (of the European Convention on Human Rights) apply, neither did the Supreme Court, and neither has...

She was also keen to remind people that men are protected by the sex protections, so I imagine it's something like straight pride.

I can only imagine how hard it must be to be a straight person in this day and age. And married no less!

She claims to be personally covered by 8 of the 9 protected characteristics (presumably gender reassignment is the one she isn't), and I'm just wondering....really? She is?

I don't care what speech he makes, he's sending cops to protect ICE. HE IS A PART OF THE REGIME OF MASS DEPORTATION.

I noticed that when she was listing groups she has been actively engaging with, she didn't mention Stonewall, even though later in her remarks she calls them the largest organisation advocating for trans people.

They very clearly do not care about the wellbeing of children in any meaningful sense. There are actually useful things they could be focusing on if they wanted to. www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston...

He's actually siding with Trump. All they're fighting over is who gets to send in the jackbooted thugs to protect the other jackbooted thugs Trump sent.
comment in response to post
He's actually not. Apart from the fact that you can't trust someone who forgets about your rights when it suits his political goals or his need to seem cool to his edgy kid, he's actually saying that California can deal with the protests, endorsing the idea of the state protecting mass deportation.

It's also notable that Steve Bannon was reported to be advising Boris Johnson in 2019.

Licking boots doesn't even work, but they still try it.

I just want to take a moment to reflect on how Gavin Newsom tried to appeal to the far right, had Charlie Kirk on his podcast in an effort to appease his Nazi-in-training son who he had with Kimberly Guilfoyle, and they still want to tar and feather him.

There should be a discussion about why that is, and a better effort to include us, but it cannot happen in the middle of an active exterminationist hate movement driven by disinformation and prejudice, that cis people who might be well meaning are apt to fall into.

Which is also a tell that they know that the evidence is not on their side. The truth is that, trans people of all genders are proportionately underrepresented in all high level athletics, because of many factors including deliberate exclusion, even in places where we have been allowed to compete.

They should all have quit instead of choosing to enrich the world's richest TERF.

There's a weird counter-intuitive connection between anti-Corbyn and anti-trans politics. Like the fact that the EHRC commissioner who ran the investigation into Labour criticised Corbyn, and he's also one of the most anti-trans.
