Another bank holiday weekend which means... *drumroll* MORE TIME TO STARE AT TREES!!! 🥳🌳

Me walking down any random street: could fit a tree there, there, two there, there, there-

Stop scrolling, have a tea, do some yoga, do tree pose, keep doing tree pose, become a tree, live the rest of your life in tree happiness

Some #MondayMotivation with a before and after from a project circa 2009 🌳

Great things take time ⌛️ (we planted these in 2007)

Hot take, and hear me out here... we plant more trees?

Oh ok so when someone lays under trees in the countryside it’s called ‘forest bathing’ but when I do it under street trees in a town centre it’s called ‘being a public nuisance’ 😕

We planted this cutie patootie in 2012. She’s got a little lean going on, but she’s still growing strong.

Monday thoughts 💭 If you could create a green space ANYWHERE - where would it be? We’ll go first: Piccadilly Circus - turn that chaos junction into a garden 🌷

Born to frolic amongst the trees, forced to say ‘happy Friday!’ every week

I don’t have all the answers, but one of them is definitely ‘more trees’ 🌳🌳

Oh hello there 😍

Start your day by hugging a tree. Keep hugging that tree. End your day hugging that tree. Meld with tree. Be tree. 🌳🌳🌳

Highly recommend turning off your phone and taking a walk in nature this bank holiday weekend. I think we all need it 🍃

MAY the trees be ever in your favour...

We’re the embodiment of that saying ‘the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago’ Because we actually did 😉🌳

We've planted our 1,000th tree in Haringey 🎉 "This important milestone is testament to the value of trees to the Haringey community and we warmly thank all the tree sponsors." - Kate Sheldon, CEO of @treesforcities.bsky.social

Great to see our trees going in & Whinhill Primary getting stuck in! 👏 Well done to The Clyde Climate Forest & partners for helping planting 1300 trees across Inverclyde & beyond this Spring. @greenactiontrust.bsky.social @tcvnational.bsky.social @treesforcities.bsky.social ➡️

Happy spring equinox ☀️🌸🌱 Looking forward to brighter, warmer days and spotting beautiful blossoms in our towns and cities!

It's lovely and warm out today in London which means it's a PERFECT day to go for a nature walk 🌳👀 🌞 Don't miss out on the rare sunshine - why don't you pop out for lunch? (an iced drink is calling for you...)

"Some animals are being extinct and it's really important that we try to keep them alive." Children in West Yorkshire plant nearly 600 hedges, trees and shrubs as part of a @treesforcities.bsky.social project to promote nature recovery. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The time has finally come! We're seeing signs of spring with beautiful buds and blossoms brightening our towns and cities 🌸🌺 Have you spotted any signs in your area?

Happy #WorldWildlifeDay 🌳🦋🦊 The best friends of nature are trees and wildlife! They rely on each other, support each other and most definitely gossip about humans with each other 😂

As winter approaches, some trees prepare by storing food and conserving energy. They shed their leaves to reduce water loss, while increased rainfall keeps the soil moist. This makes winter the perfect time for trees to focus on root growth, searching for water and nutrients before spring returns.

🌳 We're thrilled to have had @treesforcities.bsky.social back on campus today for a pop-up! Whether you have interest in the third sector or are an environmentalist, consider learning more about this impactful charity and how you could get involved at treesforcities.org. 🔗 #UKCharities #Glasgow

It's easy to feel low and overwhelmed during the cold, winter days 🥶 but spending just twenty minutes amongst trees and greenery 🌳 can help reduce stress levels and give you the chance to relax. So, when you can, go for a walk in your local greenspace!

Something fun and new to try out on your next winter walk 😊🍃

PSA: donating to a tree charity is a perfectly acceptable Valentine’s Day Gift 👀 Nothing says ‘I’m in this for the long run’ like planting trees for the future

Q: How much time do we spend watching our trees grow on Google Maps? A: Too long to keep track of... 😅 We planted this beautiful Gingko tree in November 2004 on Newcomen Street, London! Look how much it’s grown over the last twenty years 🤩💚

What would you think about walking amongst these trees?

Did you know that fallen trees still benefit the surrounding ecosystem? 🌱 Whether decaying or dead, these trees can host a range of species and boost biodiversity. They can also support young saplings through nutrient recycling. 🌳 Trees help encourage the survival of many species, dead or alive!
