Many argue that it wasn't that the ALP won the election, but rather that the Liberals lost it. Similarly, in the case of the Voice referendum, it wasn't that the 'No' camp won—it was that the Indigenous community lost the campaign through poor marketing and question choice

The outcome of this election has nothing to do with the colour of people's skin, but rather with the fact that the LNP's policy platform was an amalgam of Howard-era idiocy and Trumpian insanity, making it unsaleable.

Australia is in a good position to adapt to deteriorating economic and environmental conditions. However, the Australian electorate is wary of dramatic change—they worry about the future while desperately treading water financially

Albanese Government is committed to policies of inclusive growth not progressive action. The ALP needs to adapt the economy to the coming AI revolution while addressing social inequality & division caused by the LNP. it will be reluctant to adopt a progressive agenda that alienates the electorate.

In many areas of environmental policy, government inaction is driven by fear of electoral backlash and the withdrawal of donor support. In Australia, the economically and environmentally unsustainable clearing and logging of forests is a clear example. we thought they would see sense they never did

"Greg Malham's problem is one shared by many in the medical profession: they are not required to undertake multidisciplinary studies before entering medical school. As a result, their understanding of areas outside their field of expertise is limited. This explains his attraction toTrumpian values."

Amelia Hamer is also a woman, and Greg Malham clearly has no issue with her. This isn't about gender—it's about power, and the moron feels threatened by the right's inability to control the political and social agenda

The risk of looking stupid is very high if your parties policies are not logical and you are asked to explain them in a high pressure environment. Best not to participate if your going to look like a moron

for what purpose? Is this an attempt to distract from unemployment generated by the #AI revolution? Let's bring the companies home and have them run by AI? Or are they Helping business Lower overheads & reduce exposure to the risk of #climatechange driven political & environmental instability

This is the problem with tariffs they can drive product replacement decisions by consumers based on price difference. I suspect our attempts to normalise our relations with china (thanks #PennyWong) may have insulated us from loss of market share in us.

In 2023, US wine exports to China totaled $51 million, a significant drop from the $197 million in 2017, primarily due to China's retaliatory tariffs and higher production costs for US wine Jan 2025 report showed China imports of australian wine went up from $898 million to $907 million

"The International Criminal Court (ICC) cannot force countries to comply with its decisions or jurisdiction, as it relies on the cooperation of member states for enforcement" I would strongly advise #Netanyahu against ever visiting australia as it would be impossible to protect him.

#MichaeliaCash and rest of the #LNP are a morality free zone. They have amply demonstrated the fact that they will do anything to get elected. I often wonder if the the australian Jewish community are as universally enthusiastic about the psychotic #Netanyahu government as #peterdutton is.

coober pedy's harsh climate and the worsening effects of climate change, extreme heat, water scarcity, unpredictable rainfall & increasing intensity of storms may render the community unviable for all residents. Shouldn't we accept the fact that these communities don't have a future!
