1) Sigourney Weaver and Emma Thompson
2) A wealthy lesbian couple undergo a dark night of the soul when a secret from one of their pasts threatens to fundamentally alter their present and future.
3) Long Shadows
(taken from Agatha Christie's dictum "old sins have long shadows")

I've always been more of a Bette Davis stan myself, but Joan could definitely camp it up with the best of them :)

I remember sitting in the cinema, tears of joy in my eyes, thinking... "where the hell was a film like this when I was growing up?"
I'm so happy that today's LGBTQ+ youth get to see positive, happy stories. For too long, we got that it could only end in tragedy or misery. Thankfully that's changing.

FYI, this is for the 1960 version of Psycho. Bluesky have put the "Adult content" warning on it as the poster shows Janet Leigh in her bra and a slip.

Optimistically, we might get a Christmas special in 2026.
Even if Disney+ doesn't extend their deal, I think the BBC/Bad Wolf will take it in-house.
RTD has apparently got Series 3&4 planned so theoretically they could go into preproduction pretty quickly once the Disney+ issue is resolved.

(and if this all sounds a bit too vague, trying to discuss the episode without giving any spoilers is a difficult task. I got to see it in the cinema - and certain sequences looked epic on the big screen - but I'm aware others might not have seen it yet. Once the dust has settled, I might talk more)

I guess with 90% of the extant material available on iPlayer (at least for the moment) it's easier to come across the earlier episodes - rather than consciously deciding to put a DVD in.

Black-and-white and a demon coming out of a cave... The Rescue maybe?

I've noticed that Bluesky users seem to be a lot more respectful and generally better-mannered and better-behaved towards one another. Even the disagreements are civil (mostly!) It's heartening to see that social media can be a positive place and not just a seething cesspit of discord and hatred :)
