Humans have been trying to make AI in some capacity since we found out how to program. It's one of the subjects we're most fascinated by. Most likely, it won't be going away anytime soon.

You'll probably finding yourself using certain channels more than others. With a right-click (or a long press on mobile), you can mute a channel so that it won't notify you anymore. In the server settings, you can even hide muted channels altogether.

When you've joined a couple servers, they'll usually have a bunch of channels for a range of different topics within that interest. For example, most servers have a 'general' chat where you can talk about anything, then more specific channels like 'memes' or 'art-review'. It really depends!

The basic principle is that anyone can create a Discord for a topic they're interested in, then send out an invite link to anyone interested in the same topic. You can usually find these links floating around online in established communities (like subreddits) or by Googling or using Disboard.
