It's never going to settle with those rich assholes plunging both hands into the bucket and scooping out the water.

That's an oddly specific order...

Yes, this makes sense. We're trillions in debt, so logically we need to ruin a mountain to placate an idiot.

Foster care? Yes, this makes sense... let's all take in another child instead of, oh, I don't know, providing a path to citizenship where we can add to our workforce and collect taxes *without* breaking up families.
This from the "working class party with strong family values"...gimme a break.

I admit, the choice this time was a little easier, but only because having to choose him would have been like swallowing a horse pill full of fryer grease and cyanide. Still not optimal- I'd love to have more than 2 choices.

Card-carrying Independent here...I'm not impressed, and haven't been impressed for about 20 years.

I'm of the mindset that when a woman becomes a mother, her lethality *increases*. And when that same woman defends her country AND child? Look out!

...there is a solution to getting everyone healthcare. They don't want to hear it because they aren't profiting, but it's there...

Oh, we're paying attention to personal work references now? Did anyone who worked with DJT have anything to say about him...? /s

It was incredible. I'd say some of it's still possible...shop locally and build up your communities. Spend some time with devices off and away.

Oh, I have faith and clearly remember 2005. It's just so exhausting sometimes, lol

Why don't we just make it so you have to pass a test to get a voter ID? Nothing crazy, just your basic government info to ensure voter competence. I guarantee half the population would be too stubborn to study or even attempt the test, but bullish enough not to admit it. ;)

I would assume so, but, like 99% of what he does, the distinction props himself up, protects his own ass, and distances himself from people who are no longer useful or are coming under fire. It's like an evil superpower with this guy...

Notice he said, "violent rapist." He excluded sleazeball, privileged, and bumbling rapists.

Cutting off funding for water infrastructure is criminal. Some men should be sent out to cut their own switches.

Fixing what isn't broken because it's easy instead of fixing the crap he broke because it's hard. Gonna have to make it look like he's doing *something* for 4 years other than golfing and grifting.

My Pitt advisor, the late poet Tony Hoagland, asked me what I wanted after college. I said, "Teach."
He said, "Don't. Not yet. Do something completely unrelated to your degree, maybe many things. Then, when you're ready- and if you still want to teach- you will actually have something to teach."

There has most definitely been an uptick in snarkiness. Bots and X-holdouts making their way over, maybe...?

This. We can't see "free" without a massive system overhaul, but offering college and trade school tuition in exchange for public or military service is a much easier sell.

Yes, and 2 year degrees & trades should be free with public or military service...or they can go for-profit and pay it back.
That public service time may even become a career. We might even end up with politicians who give a shit about their constituents more than power and money.
