More sketchbook studies. Done when I was 15 or 16. Worked in pen to help not overthink. My dad was in construction, working on homes sooo as a kid I think I was trying to honor him. Artificial timed deadlines is what I recommend to achieve some progress. Like 30 mins to enter that flow state.

Sorry, I didn't think to put a reference nearby for scale for these. It's like 4"-6" tall. I gifted it to my mom.

A super-sculpey clay steampunk owl. Tutorial from AceofClay. Early 2021. Painted with folk-art paint. I think early on I was afraid to mess about with colors. It was a joy for me to paint and express myself this way. I think maybe the first sculpt, and done around when Covid was stressing me out...

He suggested filling up our visual library by drawing various subjects, so I tried to study construction tools. Growing up I felt I had to be STEM focused, you'll see most of that in my adolescence. I want to focus on telling stories with characters, to help me explore different perspectives.

My sketchbook! Done with pen. All of my sketchbook doodles that look like this were done when I was 15 or 16. At the time, I was considering becoming a concept artist, because I was inspired by this cool guy, Feng Zhu. Sitting down and timing myself helped me to focus and create a deadline.

Little sculpts I made! These were my first introduction into super sculpey clay. I followed tutorials from AceofClay on YouTube. Done in early 2021. Bats and a Grim Reaper. Painted w/ folk-art acrylic paint. It was nice having my small family support me, I was nervous expressing myself at the time.

This is so sick! I love Hollow Knight! I like how you used red to make it pop. I really liked the ambience in the city of tears, the music gave me chills.

Hydra Relief. Made with super sculpey clay, foam, and epoxy resin. This was the largest sculpt I made, 11"x17". My 20th sculpt. It took me about a month to make. I wanted to make a skeleton snake hydra coming out of lava. Painted with folk-art acrylic paint. I think done back in fall 2022.
