Quite boring, don’t post much - only when deeply motivated, quietly watching and taking it all in, like any good introvert!

“Somewhat vicious” is the statement that astounds me - appreciate I see this from a great distance but I don’t see that even slightly! Just spouting nonsense as usual!

Does going with the dog count as ‘on your own’?

Reading this I feel like Bluesky needs a ‘holy 💩’ button instead of a ‘Like’ button! Not for the first time in fairness

So Grok, the AI developed by X, owned by we all know who is left leaning??? REALLY?? Still, I guess if you are just to the right of Edward Mosley and Mussolini everything is pretty woke!

In the middle of peak insanity, this one is the insanest of them all. Under the seal or not surely this is at the very least an incredible conflict of interest? What happened to politicians excusing themselves from private interests? In fact what happened to integrity, honesty, morality, probity..?

It’s a great point about Harvard and many other things. All what you’d call ‘soft power’ for the US, like their tech domination. The ‘strategy’ (if indeed worthy of the name) seems to be to trade this for hard power (eg tariffs) but there is a limit on how long this can last and how far it can go!

Well it’s simple really, all Walmart and other need to do is buy things at the new prices including the tariffs but (and here’s where it gets REALLY clever) continue to sell at the original price, losing billions of dollars instead of making billions. See how easy that is? 🤷‍♂️

All this BS about ‘cards is a complete distraction! ‘Cards’ or negotiating points shouldn’t be a consideration here, a nation state has been invaded by a foreign power against its will. Whether it has the ability or ‘cards’ to negotiate is utterly irrelevant.

Wait! I thought it was $1.98 a gallon, I know it was, honest Don said it was, so it absolutely, must be, has to be true!

And is this man in the room with us now??

Was he not literally JUST asked if he should cut tariffs on China to bring them to the table and he just said “no”? Or was that a fever dream too!

It’s everyone else who spells them differently to us and they are wrong. This is a hill I am more than prepared to die on!

Just allow VAR to retrospectively award yellow and red cards for simulation. Wont need many sending offs before we see a change I reckon!

This manic obsession about ‘deals’ is wearing thin now. All this tariff talk is just loading the deck of concessions in his favour for negotiations that may or increasingly may not happen, but as a trained negotiator I can tell you it’s such a transparent tactic!

None of what has been said below is untrue, but the reason we need to sit up and take notice of this is the proportion of the seats up for election that they won, not the number they have overall, only a percentage are up for election each cycle.

I can see he’s talking but all I hear is…

And if they can get this price selling to the US what happens to the price for everyone else? It just drives global prices up…
comment in response to post
How do you even start to define what makes a movie ‘American’ and since when did the US NOT dominate the global movie market? I get that a president’s role is to look after their own country, but what is the cultural and social impact of disincentivising foreign films? Or is that exactly the point??

Bit of an issue for Staffordshire that with zero power generation in the county!

Agree completely but the problem is that pretty much every one of those subjects can be turned in to some kind of argument about immigrants or immigration - how ‘they’ are costing money, taking school places, burdening the NHS etc etc. time for some real honesty and FACTS about immigration!

At a funeral last week and the wake was 15 miles away, father in law started giving me detailed ‘back lane’ directions to the village hall. He ignored me saying yeah, I’ll just sat nav it so many times - I stopped listening at ‘take the third little lane past the man washing his car’!

The paper describing Reform as “right leaning” is something of an understatement though!!

Most worrying for me was the comment at the end… “Why don’t you just say yes he does and move on to something else” So YOU deny what you’ve seen and just agree with ME… The thought police are out in force!
