Establishment dems would rather help a republican win then let the electorate have any say in their democracy You’re free to do as they tell you

Reminds me of my friend who was driving through Northern Ireland during the troubles when he got stopped at a checkpoint by gunmen in balaclavas They asked ‘are you a protestant or a catholic’ My friend quick witted-ly replied ‘oh neither. I’m an athiest’

There’s a really great Skunk Anasie song about this Of course, because I’ve listened to that song I know now enough to be allowed lecture about the POC experience even though I’m the pastiest of pasty white Irish ☘️

You might do well to ask yourself what you might have done to earn the grief (The original post on this thread is blocked so I might be missing a lot of context) Sometimes as (post) white males the best thing we can do is listen instead of being self righteous in our righteousness

I’m just letting you know what ‘plastic paddy’ means You seemed to take offense at the term ‘paddy’ but ‘plastic paddy’ is an Irish creation You can call yourself whatever you like but there are definitely some who argue that if you didn’t grow up on Tayto and Skips then you’re Irish Lite

‘Plastic Paddy’ It’s what Irish people call Yanks who think they are Irish

Harris lost most of her votes in states where it didn’t effect the results (CA / NY etc). In the key battleground states she actually gained votes over Biden. The sad truth is Trump actually gained 3 mil votes over 2020 People against genocide didn’t lose the election - America being fucked did

‘The left pushed to hard’ You mean ‘a big corporation made a terrible sequel to the space shooty movie I liked so now I have no choice but to support bigotry’ The left isn’t pushing nearly hard enough

Unsubscribing from @theguardian.com after this horrendous editorial This ‘compromise’ will endanger trans people and has already effectively banned trans youth from having a normal healthy childhood

As scary as it would be if that were true I can’t agree they are that smart I’m pretty sure they can’t see past ‘how can we get people talking about product x’ They really scary thing is how dumb it all is It’s the failings of late stage capitalism all the way down

I think a lot of people fell for the cultural marxism BS because a couple of seasons of their favourite space show had some bad writing In the 90s people mistook health and safety for political correctness Now people mistake corporate “creativity” for DEI

What was supposed to elicit empathy and ask people to check their privilege instead was mistaken for a good idea for society by micro-dosing tech bros

You think Bibi was planning to negotiate in good faith if there was a democratic president This is par for the course for Israel and they have been backed by every American president To pretend otherwise is naive at best

This looks like the sort of thing you would see in a video game .. as satire Did you someone play a game and think ‘you know what would be cool - this but IRL!’ They did didn’t they? And people say media literacy is dead

www.msn.com/en-us/news/p... “Most of Harris’ drop-off came in populous states like California, New York and Florida, where a dip in support for Harris did not affect the Electoral College vote tally” Harris and Trump both increases their votes in swing states Make of that what you will

Ah yes - the left not willing to compromise with the far right is the problem Not the center and right thinking they need to court the far right vote That article should have read ‘leftwing activists less likely to be corrupted by evil scum’ ya scones

It also has an effect of othering them - making it easy to blame individuals and not the systems of power that give rise to them
