So, you don't think it matters who attacked?

I'm not sure either way on constitutionality, but audits of certain types have been done before.
Maybe the stronger angle of attack would be to point out that what they're doing goes far beyond an "audit."

I'm not saying they're stupid, either.
Most seem to be of roughly average brainpower within their peer groups.
I've also known some very sharp folks who are generally broke.
I don't think brainpower and wealth necessarily go together.

I've never met Elon Musk and I don't know the stories behind his accumulation of wealth, so I don't know whether he's a "genius," just very lucky, or what.
I have, however encountered quite a few very wealthy people, and as a general rule, I haven't found them to be exceptionally sharp.

Are we anti-Zuck now?
Honest question. I'm just trying to keep up.

I don't think I'm down for "Back the Blue."
Is "Back the Blue" what we're doing now?

From what I recall, this is true.

It seems to me this post advocates for the de-prioritization of civil rights issues.
Is that your intent here?

Well, it goes back to the earliest days of the U.S., so it's pretty much "baked in" to our system.
I find it curious that geography is the only basis upon which we do representation in government.
That's a relic of times when political interest and geography were more closely aligned.

It's simply impossible to maintain government credibility if the people have no faith that the reported election results accurately reflect the votes as cast.
As things stand, people have less faith every day, and with good reason.
This is fixable.

"The need to deal with shoplifting?"
How much did all that glass and steel cost?
How many bags of Doritos have to go missing to make that cost-effective?
Hard to believe they've lost that many bags of Doritos.

Based on this standard definition of "android," neither R2D2 nor C3PO are "androids," even though they're both consistently referred to as "droids" in Star Wars.

If Taylor Swift and other big name entertainers are prepared to abandon Twitter in the foreseeable future, one can certainly see Twitter becoming MySpace.

Points well taken, though it may depend on which group is "those people" (right- wingers or apolitical folks).
I don't pretend to know the answer for certain either way.
It's just a thought that has occurred to me on occasion.

Yes, they may post over here, but does that mean they will abandon Twitter?
Or will they hold on to Twitter and still post over here?

...pro-Trump propaganda and far less (if any) content countering that propaganda, thus giving the right- wing a virtual monopoly on those users who get their news from Twitter.
Am I completely off-base here?
If so, what am I missing?

Meanwhile, most of the apolitical and middle- of- the- road users are likely to stay on Twitter.
It seems that those users will be receiving a heavily- right - wing message with little to no pushback from progressive users.
From their perspective, they will see a higher proportion of...

It appears that we're rapidly moving into a future where all the progressives talk to each other here and all the right-wingers talk to each other on Twitter.
Good, bad or otherwise, that seems to be where we're headed.

To be honest, the original Star Trek series has always struck me as kinda fascist. The Enterprise is a heavily-armed vessel that resolves most disputes with weapons. The society on display is very regimented and militaristic.

As I recall, Florida used a really horrible "punch card" system that gave the Bush campaign a bunch of arguments to make about when a vote should or shouldn't count.
I'm certainly not advocating for using anything like that. We now have reliable optical systems that work just fine.

And inspirational message.
But was it really "wisdom"?
And do the people of this land really have an "irrepressible love freedom"?
Both seem valid questions these days.

To be honest, I don't even know what that would look like.
We seem to be in a "post-law" phase these days.
