Example: When a credit card expires on #Netlify, they’re counting on a contributing developer noticing those alerts in their crowded inbox, or a team paying an extra $19/month for someone to update MM/YY every year or two.

I’d like it to be wireless, support whatever OS, and be able to switch between different machines.
Mode keyboards look gorgeous but give me some sticker shock.

My favorite keyboard I’ve used was a Logitech K800, the keys felt soft and quiet. But I don’t need a number pad, 65 or 75 would be great.

For longer running tasks, I've resorted to using tic-tac-toe. Doesn't take a lot of JS, and keeps me engaged. Bonus if you add code to make the computer cheat from time to time. ("what?! now I'm going to win.")

Love that!
At @cloudfour.com we do a lot of app design work, and that sometimes involves tasks like file transfers, system processes or external requests. I think progress indicators are justified when it’s task-related and user-initiated!

That’s a good question! 🤔
I’ll be honest, I’ve rarely used skeleton loaders myself, and only in very localized ways. Whenever I suggest we may need them, it seems to signal my @cloudfour.com colleagues to viciously attack the root performance problem instead. 😂

Something about their new terms of service and privacy policy. Just saw a lot of folks researching alternative browsers, felt deja vu and thought I’d share 🤷

Finally in November I looked at Zen, Servo and Polypane before switching from Firefox to @vivaldibrowser.bsky.social, which I still use today: tylersticka.com/journal/brow... (4/4)

A few months later, I looked at Floorp, Orion and Ladybird, with brief mentions of Gnome Web, Konqueror, DuckDuckGo, Mullvad, Tor, Ungoogled Chromium and Ladybird… tylersticka.com/journal/a-fe... (3/4)
