For me "having my name on a thing I loved" is a part of it, but the much bigger part is "I have this idea about the thing that I'd love to get out there."
Last year I got to express my thoughts on Colonel George Taylor and John Carter of Mars, and that part was REALLY satisfying.

Nope! Comics is the Wild West. There is no established method of getting IP comics jobs, and most of the people I know who work in that space got there via luck + tenacity. But making your own comics is the first key. Getting a reputation and readers, streamlining your process, becoming known.

Also: Trump’s strategy is to get you to concede in advance. But why would anyone do this if they realized TACO?

It’s not just Dem politicians who need a wartime footing, btw. We need wartime Dem voters, too. Creating incentives for pols to take risks, & supporting pols willing to take a stand. Stay involved & keep on them. Primary them if they just won’t listen.

We don’t have a wartime party; the gop do. I’ve heard a number of Dems say that they got into politics to make a difference on things they cared about, not to battle gop cavemen for their very survival. Maybe now that ICE is storming their offices they’ll see that a change in strategy is overdue.

The fight against authoritarianism is tough and can wear you down. Celebrating partial wins along the way doesn't make you a sucker. They want you to burn out - use this as fuel.

I strongly suspect you’re going to have doctors leaning forward on what constitutes a preexisting condition in this case. I think the Hippocratic oath may even require it. The booster provides additional protection for an illness that *usually* resolves quickly but can lead to serious illness …

Rogue One felt like the Andor of the SW movies when I first saw it, but now it feels much more like the other films, a really grand epic with bold strokes. It’s the emotional payoff of the series. I wish there were more of these characters.

unitedwedream.org/resources/kn..., www.ilrc.org/resources/co..., immigrantjustice.org/know-your-ri... are some places you can go to find a training. You can also turn your Indivisible into a rapid response team, many already are. And Blue State AG have power as well.

He’s right. Well-organized protests help dissolve authoritarian power, & lead to well-organized voters keeping them out of office in the first place.
