Fair enough. Rafe's recent Instagram post refuted what I shared. #SaveWoT

Rafe made a statement on his Instagram today, which really gave me hope! Rosamund shared the SaveWoT website last week on her Instagram. It's happening little by little.

Clickbaity, yes. But I'll never blame journalists for protecting their sources - otherwise, they would lose them.

Thank you, this is really fascinating, insightful, and it brings me hope!

I opted to cite this source because the original TVLine buries it deep in with 20 other things. I know, ScreenRant can be obnoxious.

Much appreciated! I'll say the Rafe post saying he is hoping it gets saved has brought me concrete renewed hope.

Fair point, was merely citing my sources, don't have to click it. And now, seeing Rafe's posts saying he is still hoping it gets saved, I think I'm beginning to hope again.

😊 Thank you!!

I feel this! I really dislike Apple hardware. I am PC/Android all day, but if they picked up Wheel of Time ... #SaveWoT

You're probably right. This is why the studios think they can do whatever they want - we keep giving them blank checks.

Sadly, it could be said that WoT being canceled came down to corporate bullshit. These days, that matters far more than anything else combined for what actually happens.

All valid points. My consideration is the principle that "past performance is not indicative of future results." Will everyone come back for S3 despite how they felt *after* watching S2E8?
comment in response to post
I fear we're stylistically returning to the 90s when high fantasy fell out of favor. They're expensive, and cheaper shows are doing well enough that its harder to justify them. HotD *was* performing very well. The fans are furious about how S2 ended, which was ultimately about $.

Oi, where's my bangers and mash?!
comment in response to post
Yep. And fewer chefs make it less complicated, too.

I'll just say it's very ugly right now in the Other Place. The denizens of Middle Earth and the Westlands are at each other's throats like never before. And I think it's so awful, I'm trying hard not to step into that.

Starz is doing an Outlander prequel, though, because why try something new when you can tell the less interesting part of the story you already told?
comment in response to post
Exactly. I'll let people who did enjoy it have their fun in peace, but these eyes won't be giving more attention to a show I thought did not compare.
comment in response to post
Exactly, giving up on RoP is one of the several ways I'm showing my displeasure to Amazon.

I didn't wish TROP was canceled either. I fear this really came down to Prime deciding there could only be one big fantasy series.
comment in response to post
Of the big players, only Netflix might have interest because it could replace The Witcher after its final season as their premier fantasy show. Apple and Disney don't really have high fantasy shows, but have high-profile SciFi and superhero content already.

Fair. But why was Shogun on FX and not Disney+? I don't understand these things, but it mattered for some reason.
comment in response to post
They might not have realized they shared this after the cancelation.

Forsaken 6 has a nice ring to it

Luckily for Ms. Madden, her hair wilk grow back, re recent news.

We must find who to target. My gut tells me to not focus on another big player who already has a similar tentpole franchise (Apple, HBO, Disney somewhat), but a big *enough* one that doesn't or soon won't (think pre-Shogun FX).

I mean, that braid with the golden flame laurel crown from her Accepted test easily tops this.

Ah, I didn't realize they made Sevanna a Wise One at this point in the show. Yes, that would be a supermajority of 2/3 even.
comment in response to post
Good point, this would be in character for the Aiel's selfless culture, and with 1 Wise Woman per Hold at times, ignorance of a candidate wouldn't be rare! I did consider abstention. Usually, this removes the person from counting toward the group determining the overall %.

Most of the pun names from Juliet Howland's flock of hens would work because PENguins also lay eggs! Eggwene, AviPendha...
comment in response to post
(Not trying to bridge the gap between the books and show - I'm all in on the "different turning." I'm wondering about the percent needed. Also, for a yes/no question, plurality=majority, so why the distinction without the difference?)

Realizing I would love to have The Dragon Reborn hardcover - that book was when I really got hooked to the series! I will DM you.
comment in response to post
This is very generous. I would love to get one of the WoT hardcovers, ideally US edition. Maybe tDR or FoH, depending on what you have. Would ask for tGS, but I'm pretty sure RJ's personal library won't have that one!

He might if we somehow got him recast as Rand ... 🙄😆

I've been reading this series since the late 90's and your question was what made me realize it for the first time!
