My understanding of the fiasco is that Nividia decided to design their own cheaper plug/socket and cable because they felt they could do it cheaper than Molex's solution.
Its a design that can just barely carry the 650 watts that some GPUs need, and has no margin for error.

The hair is just wrong in every way. Short brushed locks when it should be a long greasy, tangled mess.

"The technician aura", or "the mechanic effect".
It knew you were threatening to fix it, so it started working again.

How about the flats just belong to the residents now? No more rogue overseas landlord?

The amount of people who think that wifi == internet/broadband is unacceptable. The amount of people who refuse to try even the most basic of troubleshooting steps (eg. check everything is plugged in and switched on) before calling is even worse.

Reminds me of the time I had to explain to the Amazon chatbot that the parcel they had delivered did not contain my order, and instead contained a sealed and addressed parcel for some other customer about 40 miles away.

Get the OXO angled ones. They're much nicer to use.

That thing is not a Boston Dynamics Spot. It's a cheap chinese clone called a Unitree Go2 with a bunch of junk stuck to it that almost certainly does nothing.

Same goes for people who wait until they get to the till, wait for their stuff to be scanned, wait for the total... and only then do they start digging through their purse/pockets for cash.
You knew this was coming! And yet you did nothing to prepare!

If you want someone to piss away billions of dollars in the fastest most efficient way possible - Musk is unquestionably the man for the job.

It is funny how the things that make the banks the most profit will change rate faster than the things that benefit their customers. It's almost like it's deliberate!

It has much more use as a political football. It won't hurt the ultra-rich. It can be used to fool the poor into thinking it will hurt them, and make them vote against it. The only people it actually hurts are the semi-rich, and prevents them from becoming properly rich.

I don't think it catches the top 1% - they know the loopholes. It's probably catching people in the 10-5% range (pulling numbers out of my arse here).

Its another one of those little details that the government and media love to leave out when discussing IHT. Any mention of changing IHT gets a huge amount of negative press to convince the masses that changing it is a Bad Thing, when in fact they will likely never be subject to it.

The whole thing has pissed me off. If a fishing trawler sinks, it gets one, maybe two mentions. Probably won't even have names.
Millionaire's yacht sinks? No less than SIX simultaneous news articles on the BBC news website. Why? Most people have never heard of them and don't know who they are.

And you can guarantee that the Veoila executives receive and accepts gifts, and the councilors that approved their contract almost certainly have accepted gifts too.
Apparently the only person not allowed is the guy at the bottom who couldn't do shit with a bribe anyway.
