I was told he was the “populist” president.

Anyone still hanging out on Twitter as their primary … job?… is just marinating in this nonsense.

Am I supposed to feel bad for a woman who declared my state enemy territory? The woman who shot her puppy dead after she failed to train him? The woman who posted pictures of herself in front of a concentration camp in operation? The woman whose department posted “prisoners in chains ASMR”? Fuck off

One phone, no answering machine.
And we were horrified when we heard our parents had to deal with *party lines* when they were kids.

Every time I read about how much these tech CEO’s waste on this nonsense, I get so bummed out. A billion a month on a chat bot. It’s so stupid it’s incomprehensible. He shouldn’t be allowed control of his own estate.

I think this is apt. The Atlantic has some great writers. The paper also has some of the worst.

It should be yelled by every single talking head at any rep for the president, the GOP, and their media apologists

Not totally related but Levin always looks like he’s not sure if he’s gotta hurl or take a dump but he knows one’s gotta happen soon. Any time he looks happy, it’s with the combination of self-amusement and self-disgust more common to babies that just farted.

I had this idea with Trump during the first administration. Stick him in a facsimile of the Oval Office with a pipe of paper and he’d never know the difference.

These guys have all been roasting their brains in Twitter for so long they’ve absorbed the idea that Biden was a robot by Nazi osmosis

They leaned harder on it than you’re remembering. In 2007, W screamed at intelligence guys in his office about asking why they hadn’t found any evidence for a nuclear program because he knew Americans only cared if they found nukes. His legacy depended on it.

There’s a recloning in Christianity about what it means to be a good Christian right now. On one side, you have a lady working for the people and doing good works for them and getting killed. On the other side are guys talking about how killing is a holy purpose God gave to Trump. That’s the story.

I’m not a Christian but guys like Rogers and Jimmy Carter inspire me and make me try to be a better person. Guys like the Mikes and Mel Gibson make me recoil in horror. If Christians want people to be more like Christ, ranting about the virtues of hatred and cruelty isn’t doing the job.

Guys like the MN killer, Mike Lee, and Mike Huckabee are all Christian. They are also very bad people.
Christians can be great people. I will die on the hill that more Christians should be looking for guys like Fred Rogers, who was a devout Christian and good man, to represent them.

As a general rule, shooting people is an immoral and shitty thing to do. Don’t do it kids.

Everyone knew they had chemical weapons. We gave them chemical weapons during the Iraq/Iran war. The selling point was nuclear weapons and man”intelligence slam dunk” that they were building them. It was, of course, bullshit. Also, foundationally not a good reason to invade a country. Same as today.

Remember when we all knew Iraq didn’t have any nuclear weapons when we criticized his decision W’s decision to invade? Boy, was there egg on our faces.

My home is that *when* I eventually need a joint replacement and physical therapy, I’m not as hard-headed as my mom was about it.
Well, also that I can pay for it but that’s another kind of worry.

When a person’s parents start going through old people problems, it becomes undeniable that they will face disability no matter what. Even if there is no accident, there is always the constant march of time.

Don’t be so catastrophic. We might get them back in 25 years as superfund sites with water than isn’t potable for approximately thirty thousand years.

If it’s more than a paragraph and isn’t in allcaps, he didn’t write it. If it doesn’t refer to himself in the 1st person a bunch in weird ways, he definitely didn’t write it.

Babies are not aerodynamic at all. I think it would be much better to bunt. It seems very unlikely the catcher is going to be able to throw you out at first. Moneyball.

I hated it for reasons unrelated to the giant donut crushing, which I found to be one of the best and funniest highlights of the movie.
Anyway, welcome to a great app.

The ideological sleight-of-hand here that is particularly grating is intentionally moving vaccination and preventive medicine out of the category of “healthier habits.”
