The vote share % is far more interesting than the numbers

He wishes to decriminalise it for political, and economic reasons.
It's a healthcare issue, and giving this moron praise for it is wrong.

They stand for nothing other than the status quo of keeping the British elite in place, not rocking the boat, and not tinkering deeply with an economy that keeps the poor, homeless, disabled, elderly & hungry kids exactly where they are.

He did not win a landslide victory.
Labours share of the vote barely changed.
It was the massive loss suffered by Tories, & the gains made by other parties, that let them in.
Starmer & labour are in power due to the massive failure in UK election system, they are happy to keep that in place

Well, it has to be said, I think that, only within the context of what I'd truly like to vote for, but that isn't going to happen in my lifetime.
So, all of the alternatives are shit. Greens seemed to be my only option last time around.

I voted Green, and they are shit too!

And the lies & betrayal in order to seek Labour leadership should appal you.
But that's where we are now - vote for shit, because it isn't quite a shit as the last lot.

'snouts in the trough' and corruption stories make us feel sick about the entitlement of it all, but policy matters.
Truth matters.
Keeping poor kids hungry & freezing pensioners is Tory policy.
Don't worry, the snouts in the trough stories will soon be along.

Better to pay a little more tax, than have your back against a wall and blindfolded.

Starmer is the leader who chose to keep the elderly, and starving children in the UK exactly where they are in favour of tax breaks for the rich.
The whole of the west is lead by weak, ignorant clowns, while the populace slowly die.

Gesture politics of it's worse kind.
The man is a lair and a sycophant.
Stick to US politics Jon, where they prefer this type of nonsense I believe.

If you're basing your idea of nationalisation on the way it happens within the current neo-liberal capitalist framework, I agree.
But there is a better way.

Solar panels & heated blankets already exist.
This is not an invention.
"Yay, look, we can keep the homeless 1 or 2 degrees warmer than they were before"
Can't we just end homelessness?
"Why? they're warmer now"

If you think that's what I have been trying to say then you need to re read my posts.
Your projecting what you think into my words, without taking time to consider the point I'm making.

Step 1 is the point.
It should not have got there.
It's too late to stop that.
Midterms & courts is a battle that could have been avoided - energy wasted, especially when not enough was done to stop step 1.
We could already be building & growing, but no, step 1 was not tackled at all well

I think the point is that the power grab is over.
He's in the WH.
The French fought well, but the toll was heavy, and the recovery slow.
The "left" (if there is such a thing in the US) failed America in a big way, yet is them, that will have the job to clear up.
It's too late to stop that.

They want more people reliant on iplayer, or at least, using it regularly, cos one day they will be charging for it, and they need us to want it, so that we are more inclined to pay.
Love the BBC for what it puts out (news aside), but the funding model is going to change, of that I have no doubt.

Thank you. You describe them as biscuits in that post. I saw the one's for crackers, and assumed they were different.
My bad, but will still try the recipe - thanks 👍
